Thanks musicianurse28!  Great help.

I was also thinking, that it should not be that loud a set, so fusion, pero rock tugtog namin.  Anyway, I did not know Gretch Catalina Maple had a 5 pc set.  Pasok ba sa 25k?

How about Tama?  May 25k ba?

Pearl Exports, may 25k ba?

These are the only options I know.  Any more suggestions on kits na pang jamming lang sa basement, but with good sound and the least requirement for maintenance?  Di marunong mag tono eh.

Thanks!

Will be visiting JB, Yamaha/Perfect Pitch, and Lyric tonight at Parksquare, to pick my new set.  Hope for more advise before then so I can make a more educated choice this time.

Thanks!

Sir, a fusion kit is ok with Rock genre. Look at the then band Bamboo, they play Rock and Fusion Jazz but the kit Vic Mercado was using is a fusion kit. I was inspired to have a fusion kit because of them especially by Vic.

Yes there is a 5pc kit of Gretsch Catalina Maple, which I believe was in 42k sale till January 16 only. Not bad for a mid to high end drum kit. I'm not really familiar with the Tama and Pearl kits because I'm kinda biased when it comes to kits and my top choice is Gretsch.

If for jamming and hobby purpose only, Gretsch Catalina Ash and Gretsch Catalina Maple are my choice. Pearl Target Series are good enough. Also Sonor Force 2005 is ok. Ludwig kit Accent series is also a good choice. All of these are available in any JB Music stores. JB's Christmas Sale is only till January 16. These kits are in 25-40% SALE! Try to catch up! But for me the best choice is Gretsch!

Planning for a Band Rehearsal Studio business. Baka may alam kayong space for rent around QC area lang. Please PM me. Thank you.

Visit all the stores nearby and start with the "budget wise" move. Next is "let your heart decide". This advice came from one of my Filipino drummer idol sir Michael Alba or Mike Alba. Good luck with the search! I'll be waiting for your post in the "New Gears" thread and the "Let's see those kits" thread.

Happy drumming!

I'm thinking about getting the Gibraltar 6611db later at JB. Kasi last day ata ng sale nila ngayon. Mura na ba ang 7k na price para diyan? Hindi ko kasi alam kung ano ang mura at mahal when it comes to hardware.

Last day of Christmas Sale in JB Music is tomorrow, Jan.16. Mura na yang 7,688 SALE nila. Usually Double Pedals starts around 9k for entry levels. Kahit pano tipid na rin yan.

Hello sirs! Newbie drummer lang po ako. I've only been playing for a little over a year and I want to buy some good sounding cymbals (stock pa rin kasi ginagamit ko. hehe). Nagsisimula pa lang po akong mag-ipon, pero gusto ko na po sanang itanong kung anong cymbals ang maganda na i-target ko? Hehe. Thanks in advance.  :-D

Magandang high end ang mga Zildjian A Customs, A, K Customs, K. Dameng choices. You'll never go wrong with it. :-)

Yes sir, entry level ang B8. Regarding the sound mas ok ang B8. About the price naman sakto lang. Goodluck!

Tanong ko lang, ano ba difference between single and double chain? Ang gamit ko kasi ngayon eh single pedal na 5611. Medyo hindi maganda yung control niya para sakin.

Got it for 37k.  No cymbals. 5pcs set only, not the 6pcs set.

I love the set!  Highly recommended.
