Natalo nga ata Google sa isang patent bid recently.

Yep, natalo sila sa Nortel patent bidding. Apple, EMC, Ericsson, Microsoft, Research In Motion and Sony ang nanalo. This is exciting. Expecting a showdown. Parang The Empire Strikes Back lang, lol! Not that Google is evil (parang mali ang metaphor ko ah).

Kasi pag kaka alala ko, tinira ata ng Microsoft ang Android OS eh dahil may patent daw na ginaya, or something to that effect. Kelangan magbayad ng $10 per Android device na mailalabas ng Samsung, HTC and other manufacturers using Android OS.

This move by Google (buying Motorola Mobility) is to protect their partners (OEMs). Kasi naman, yung ibang companies want to compete via patent hoarding. Yan. Bumanat tuloy ang Google. This is turning out to be like the nuclear arms race of the last century. Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD), he he he.

Lots of devs like the platform. Pero maraming factors kaya hindi pumatok. Yung TouchPad bulky. Tapos parang minadali. And minalas sila, si Pacquiao ang endorser, LOL!

lawsuits galore. hehehe. lawsuits dito, lawsuit doon. is this good for the tech industry as a whole? companies are now resorting to legal tactics to edge out their competition, not by creating innovative new products. does this mean that the well of innovation has run dry? have we reached the full potential in the smartphones and tablets industry?

Full potential? :D
