Just finished watching the video.
Very humbling to drummers like us... After seeing the reactions of Mangini before making the phone call to DT, considering that he's one of the known and well-respected drummers, top of the caliber sa drumming community today, kinakabahan pa din siya and very thankful after getting the gig with DT. Walang rockstar attitude or something like that. Very professional as a drummer, music professor and a person with great personality. Congrats talaga kay Mike Mangini.
I'm very honored being able to attend Mike's 2 previous drum clinics here in Manila last 2004 with Zildjian and 2008 with Pearl.
Sana kahit with DT na siya, he'll still find time to do clinics at sana payagan siya ng DT to do other drum gigs/projects that he's used to do. Bka kse magpaalam lang si Mike sandali to do some other drum stuff that he does, hinde siya payagan ng DT tapos pag-bumalik siya, hinde din siya tanggapin tulad ng ginawa nila kay Portnoy.

It's just pretty amusing and it's obvious na part ang Pearl sa production nung documentary probably to boost their sales. Yun pa lang pag-cover sa badge ng DW dun sa kit sa SIR studios tapos yung interview with Mike after getting the gig with DT and during the phone call with DT, nasa background ang MRX kit niya tsaka yung Sig snare niya. Hinde talaga malayong mangyari na re-manufacture ng Pearl yung snare niya or create a new one for sales reasons.

Nakakatuwa lang si Marco with his character and how amusing he is when drumming. Kahit website ni Marco parang pambata yung initial page na may drawing pa niya na parang bata ang nagsulat. No wonder he's fond of wearing those kind of shirts like cookie monster.
