Are you game for a WEEKEND PHOTO CHALLENGE?

Will post 2 themes every Friday and you have the whole weekend to take photos and post them here.  You may choose one or two themes as long as you post on or before Sunday.  Who will choose the winner?  Maybe the mods can do it for us.  

RULES:
1.  Must be taken during that weekend.  LINKS TO THE PHOTOS MUST BE POSTED FOR US TO SEE THE EXIF FILE.  PHOTOS WITHOUT LINKS ARE DISQUALIFIED.
2.  NO RESTRICTIONS ON PHOTO EDITING.  SHOW US HOW CREATIVE YOU ARE IN SHOOTING AND POST PROCESSING

Pwede, mga sirs.  No winners but open to CONSTRUCTIVE C & C however, the C & C must have some content naman.  For positive critiques, you have to state why you liked it.  If negative naman ang critique, state also why THEN offer some suggestions on how to improve it in terms of composition, post processing, etc.  That way, we all learn from each other.

So, lets start this weekend.

Bukas yung 2 themes, sir. Random para mas exciting.  Example lang sir.  Theme no. 1 is STRAIGHT LINES.  Theme no 2. is BLACK AND WHITE.  Kanya kanyang interpretations.  LINES may be strings of your guitar while B &W may be the keys of your organ (yung ginagamit sa music ha.  Wag magisip ng iba).  NO OBSCENE PHOTOS PLEASE at baka makurot tayo ng mga mods sa singit, masakit yun.  Nudes?  Lets hold our horses for a while.  We have to seek approval pa muna from the mods on the NUDE photos.

Gagawin natin every weekend, sir however, every Friday lalabas ang themes then we have up to sunday to shoot and submit our photos.  Mahabang palugit na yun.  Yung isang international photo forum nga na kung saan madalas ako, 8 hours lang ang palugit to shoot and post the output.

+1 .. ano kaya iset yung theme sa start ng week(Monday), tapos open lang to submit any time that week para na rin may time to critic.
then the following monday, iba ulit ang theme.

but this weekend, pwedeng exception siguro.

dont underestimate na madali lang magisip ng theme naku mahirap din yun!

suggest ko din baka pwedeng 2 categories - 1st with limitation sa post process (crop, contrast, dust, sharpen and like only) while 2nd would be no limitations..

Ahhh sir Dagdag ko lang. sana walang "Photo manipulation" at kung anu-ano pang pa effects. (ex HDR). Pwede lang adjust yung color, brightness, contrast at kung ano-ano pang mga basics.  Kung OK lang?

I agree with you, Wannabeguitarist and Dreamhouse.  Yup we can also do that.  Let us make every 2nd Weekend Photo Challenge of the month basic post processing lang.  This will give those who are not much into post processing equal footing with the who are into Color Efex Pro, or Photomatix, or Viveza plug ins.  In the mean time, lets see what our photography eyes and creative computer knowledge can do.  Lets refine and tweak the Challenge format as we go along.   

All suggestions are well appreciated and noted.

mas ok tingin ko walang limitations regarding post processing, since di naman tyo contest talaga e, more of constructive criticism para makatulong magimprove sa lahat ng magpopost dito. just as long as aangkop yung pic mo sa theme that week (and obviously dapat majustify hehe) i think i dont see no reason bakit maglilimit tyo sa mga capabilities natin as newbies, hobbyist or pros

Crisp shot and pretty color on the water drops, Disguise.  However this is where the links come in.  The photo's exif file says the photo was taken March 1, 2011, not within the dates of April 29 to May 1, 2011. Please see this link:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/kenbarroga/5676406872/meta/

Ganda ng lighthouse and the canal, especially the lighthouse.  I like the blue sky and the long exposure making the water milky and silky.  But again, there is no exif naman.
