1. HUWAG TABLAHIN ANG MGA KABANDA NG MORE THAN 20 YEARS AT SUMAMA SA IBA. UNLESS PAG UMALIS KA AT AYAW MO NA TALAGANG BUMALIK.

2. NO ONE IS INDISPENSABLE

3. KAPAG SINUKA MO ANG ISANG BAGAY, WAG MONA KAININ ULET.

just want to add something.. never make decisions when you are Hungry, Angry, Lonely, and Tired.. HALT!!

IMO burn-out was the cause for making that decision and for not talking things over with the band..

minsan kailangan talagang magpahinga lalo na kapag nauubusan ka na ng bala. pero, magisip muna ng maigi at baka mamaya kulang(o sobra) lang sa beer yan...hindi lahat ng iniiwan ay basta mo nalang mababalikan...at katulad ng sinasabi lagi ng mga matatanda, laging nasa huli ang pagsisisi...

hehe parang hirap ata intindihin to lalu na kung lahat eh super ganado sa pagtugtog at
pagiging malikhain.
mas maganda na ma-burn out kesa sa mabitin or di man lang nag-peak ng husto ang
grupo or ikaw AFAIC!

for MP he definitely deserve one long break. sana namatay na lang sya para
mas naging dramatic ending nya sa DT LoL!

kasi MP was saying DT will have a hiatus for 5 yrs then come back after.. yung timing lang, he said that in the middle of a conversation where the rest of the band was already discussing where to record the next album. tsk
hahaha oh well, ika nga easier said than done.. kahit banda ko ngayon, may communication problems din.. OT question, nature ba ng mga musikero na hindi nag-oopen forum with the band?? (parang masisira yung rockstar image kasi.. hehehe) well, just wonderin' lang naman..

-'wag ka nang mag OA kung source of income at fame mo galing sa banda. 'wag ka na din mag blog blog ng kung anu-ano.

-hindi sapat ang skills at talent para sumikat.

keep your problems to yourself and dont be an attention seeking whore.i respect him as a musician pero medyo nabawasan kasi parang nagpaawa pa siya sa blogs niya na hindi na siya tinanggap ulit ng dream theater etc.still a great musician though!

natutunan ko na bukod pala sa pag tugtog eh pwede pa pala pagkakitaan ang banda sa ibang paraan like yung ginawa nilang reality show na nagpapaudition sila kuno ng new drummer hehe naniniwala parin ako na si mike portnoy ang may pakana non

UPDATE. i just heard na si mike portnoy nga ang executive producer ng "Dream Theater - The Spirit Carries On" series reality show na nag papa audition sila ng new drummer hahahaha.

exciting din to see kung ano ang susunod na mga musical endeavors ni portnoy. malay natin baka mas maging broader yung musical horizon niya ngayon na napakaraming possibilities para sa kanya...

NOPE. Legally and logically, even without MP, DT holds the right to the name.

mukhang papasukin niya film sobrang business minded. baka mag didirektor hehe siya ang executive producer niyang "Dream Theater - The Spirit Carries On" yung reality show na naghahanap ng bagong drummer mga kabanda niya. tropa niya nga rin nakuha eh eheh ang utak talaga. siguro dapat niyo matutunan dito eh paano gumawa or mag architect ng publicity stunt para sa mga banda niyo para lalo mapansin hehe effective pumatok yung reality show niya astig

it's highly unlikely that MP's the one who produced the 3-part docu. For one, he was only allowed to communicate with the band through their attys. during the time that he wanted to go back.
