I would spend 100K+ for a bunch of mass produced guitars directly from China and sell it to the masses at low cost to earn myself another $15k+ to and throw a party for the guitar corksniffers at Manor kasya na siguro sa budget dalawang VIP table. Sana may matira pambili ng strap.

seriously though... Gibson, Fender as long as its value for money. I save up for things I want to buy, I don't pull GAS money out of savings on hand. I set a goal to save.

I actually have a dedicated savings account for GAS. Whether it be guitar, gaming, or other hobby GAS.

For me the saving period is part of the evaluation process, this prevents me from buying something on impulse. I need time to review and research on something, and when the product is no longer available I just resign to the fact that it just wasn't meant to be and the timings not right. If along the way I can't find another option for the money saved, I'd probably just take the kids out and put the rest into the REAL LIFE savings. Sorry kung OT...

Hi guys. Just to differ.

I'd rather spend 100k for less popular brands or models of guitars and gear : the ones that are not really related, attributed or connected to a certain artist but with superior quality. I want to be different, to be distinct from the rest of guitar players who ask for a specific brand or model because their guitar-hero uses such. I'll find my own voice, my own rig that I can call "my own" and is unique. In that way, you get appreciated because of your technique and skills and not because of your gear. You play the instrument, and not the other way around.

I would probably be asking for a custom guitar, amp and maybe effects that matches my requirements. In a way, I am already helping the custom shop from which my gear is made in terms of marketing its products.

If Fernando guitars can provide me a superior quality, custom guitar to my specs then why not?
If Sioschi (or any other local amp makers) can give me en excellent custom amp to my specs then why not?
If Neil Subzero (or any other local DIY FX) can design custom FX to my specs then why not?
..and so on, and so forth...


The 100k is all worth it.
