UPping an old thread!  :-D

Thanks  :)

Built-in overdrive? :?

If you're picky, try silver mica caps.  But so far bihira yung hindi gumagamit ng ceramic.  Bili ka marami in different values, and a pair of alligator clips and some 22 gauge stranded wire, para mabawasan yung soldering mo sa pot mismo when you're trying out values.  Some like to put resistors in either series or parallel, but I'd rather get a right value first that I like for a particular pickup and pot combination.  Resistors need more thought with impedance and taper issues you have to further tweak.

So.. siguro get a 1000pf (or .001uf), 820pf, 680, 470, 330, down to 120pf.  If you notice your tone unnaturally getting brighter as you roll down the volume, swap out to a lower value.

Yup. overdrive as in sabog ang tunog, nawala yung kalansing ng single coil, kaya binalik ko na lang yung stock na pot.

Thanks for the info, sir. Try ko yang mga yan  :)

My guitar has one. 330pf capacitor (no resistor) and it works like a charm..ok din yung taper ng volume.. :)

Thank you po.

Surely you mean 330pf?  If hindi available 330, getting a 390 constitutes an 18% variance.  I'd look elsewhere, as 330 is a common value?  Perhaps 300pf kung wala talaga, mas maliit yung variance nun.

I offer wiring services here in our locality. With regards to values, I usually install 1000pf in parallel with 150K resistor for single coils. For H-S-S or the like, I usually install 680pf. For guitar with all humbuckers, 330pf. That's for me lang naman. Nasa sa inyo parin yung decision.
