eto another face of my '51

take of the plastic pickguard...VOILA!

pininturahan ko lang yung knobs..

..eto printed using laser printer over 3m magic tape..tapos yung gold fine tip pen para sa loob ng SQUIER logo..medyo crappy t lundo lundo upclose..tsk

I remember when I was in High School, this is the first guitar that I really fell in love with.

But my father did not bought me one.

That was the time that I forgot about guitars, lost my interest. Totally!!!

Glad it went back within me last year. Soon, I'll own one "Tele".

Simple toggle switch fix: I replaced the headless screw of the witch hat knob with a longer one with a screw head so its easier to flip from 1-2-3 pup position by just using 1 finger...the shiny screw was standing out to much so I covered it with the smallest sized bud type rubber ear piece.Perfect Fit! So now all it takes is a quick flick of the switch!

I was lucky to acquire the last stock of '51 in Yupangco last 2007

The only modification that i made is i replaced the stock bridge pickup to a Fender Noiseless PUPs

WOW! lucky indeed! same story as mine last unit display unit pa...love and hate kasi medyo rip off price yung bigay sakin for a blemished unit (could have gotten a Cort thats better built and has better parts)..oh well..hahaha..and may blems pa nga eh.haha

I'm new to the club.
I just acquired sir Mute's 51.
Medyo napabayaan lang.
Brought it to Micsis last weekend.
He had to drill 3 rusted screws. Na-stock na kase at kinain na ng kalawang pati yung bridge.
Changed the bridge saddles but I'm still planning on changing the bridge plate too.
Problem is, I don't want to drill new holes for the bridge so challenge ang paghahanap ng saktong bridge.
Will mod it also to string-through once may stock na ng ferrules si sir Mike.
Sir Mike advised to drill the stock bridge plate instead if walang mahanap na sakto.
Thinking of upgrading to locking tuners too and also the pups..

Nut upgrade din..and yes tuner upgrades is a must...hows the electronics and switches? ok naman? tricky nga magdrill drill sa frail basswood body...daling malamog..hahaha..

yeah surprised na maynagkagusto given the aesthetic..tuwang tuwa pa! happy ako, and no sad feelings kasi nagjam kami konti kagabi..and he plays well! Im sure mas madai a siyang nice music na magagawa, and baka makatungtong siya sa stage (which sadly I didnt get the chance to do with the 51)........and 2 pa silang interested! i just put sentimentality out the way...especially i need to offset funds for my "recent purchase"

..haha even the hh jag is on the selling block..hopefully move it out soon...
