they finally arrived.
Gospel Ride 21 "
Gospel Hats 13"
Extreme Crash 17"
Custom Brilliant Crash 16"
FXO 12 17" ( 17" dumating pero ang in order at nabayaran 18" - pending with soultone ung reklamo)
here is my short review on the cymbals after i opened the box and tried playing them for a while. i still have to play them a little bit more longer so i might like them.
Gospel Ride 21- Sounds like the Sabian RBDR. good ping sound slightly higher undertones than my HHX RBDR.
Gospel Hats 13 - the bottom hat is medium weight. ( hindi kasi specified sa website nila) not enough chick sound on the pedal and not enough chick sound on the stick. if i only knew that the gospel hat had a medium weight bottom, i would not buy it. it sounded different from the video. ppfftt!!
Custom Brilliant Crash 16" - regular crash. bright and slightly distorted "HISS" sound. projects well and sonically, the pitch would be somewhere in the A custom Zildjian AAX Sabian models. Response is fast and sustains a clear "HISS".
Extreme Crash 17" - Dark and complex. it is a thicker a crash since it is made for hard hitters. undertones are a little bit obvious in this cymbal. dark sounding and a little dry than the custom brilliant. still with a little distortion on the "HISS" sound.
FXO 12 17" - the holes are a little bit disappointing. compared to many of my OZONE crashes, the circles are not that perfect. the crash is more agitated the the Zildjian EFX or the Sabian Ozones. Straight sounding hiss with less undertones. sonically, the pitch would be near an AAX sabian.
5 cymbals cost 72,000 plus shipment of 9,000 (US - PH) total of 81,000
Verdict: The sound of the cymbals is still unique compared to the bigger brands. i think i got the wrong hats. tried placing a 13" evo bottom hat and the sound was very nice. for the price of the cymbals, i think i would think twice if i would buy additional pies.
