OT: Tanong ko na rin, may Vic Firth SIH1 ba ang Lyric? Naghahanap kasi ako sa Lyric SM Clark pero dB22 lang meron. Isolation headphones hanap ko pero di sila familiar, they had no idea what I was talking about.

Dito ako sa main office sa Horseshoe drive nakabase. Likod ito ng factory ng Nestle (dating Magnolia). So pwede kayo mag-ice cream kapag napadaan kayo dito.

i just bought a pdp popcorn snare this month as a christmas gift for myself. i tested it at lyric and played it all night long sa bahay. then the last thing i remember was that i threw away my main snare to ensure the place of my newly bought pdp popcorn as my MAIN and ONLY snare. i could never be happier, defined talaga yung lutong and nice yung tone. versatile din yung tuning, you can get a snappy regular snare sound at the loose tuning, a power piccolo sound like a JJ snare at medium and near perfect chris adler snare sound at tight tuning, at bonus pa ang daling bitbitin kahit saan. though i found it somewhat boring sometimes, like the others commented. pero depende cguro sa drummer, in my opinion this snare will blend well in to more dynamic playing style rather than just simple bass & snare beats.

anyway sir Gep, may available din bang stock pdp drumheads sa Lyric? i really like the stock heads on my snare, though medyo duda lang ako sa durability nun.

DWs are mostly custom made drums, with the exception of the newly released Performance Series, thus they are on the higher end.

mga bro bka may mabigay kayo na insights sa PDP z5. I've talk to the clerk of lyric, madami syang promo and pde pa daw nya ako idiscount, it also makes me worried, bka kasi di sya tumagal or di kagandahan ung sound nya. sa mga may alam tungkol dito just give ur opinions. TIA!

PDP z5 is a beginner/student set, in my opinion ideal for young players, sa mga pre-teens pwede na sya...kung mas matanda ka, durability of the kit may be an issue...i've seen the kit before but failed to test it for sound...

Ako sir nakabili na ng Kit. PDP Z5 series. E2 lng masasabi ko sa kit. Pangit tlga yung stock heads nya mahirap i-tune.(we'll cguro warped na kc ung heads nung nakuha ko yung kit, nung nagpunta kc kami sa store naka stack lng ung mga drums kaya cguro naging warped ung heads)

Sa durability hindi ko palam kc, 3 months palang ung kit sakin.

Poorly cut ung bearing edge, hindi smooth.(expected na 2 sa mga entry-level kits dba? or hindi?

)

Sa hardwares naman:

-hi-hat stand
Aus nman, kaso parang weird ung response nung pedal, at saka after a few songs lumuluwag ung hi-hat clutch kaya minsan tinatanggal ko tapos hinihigpitan ko ulit.

-Bass drum pedal
decent nman sya walang problema.

-Straight stand
aus din sya, hindi gumagalaw kahit ride ung nakamount

Aus din ung cymbal Pack na kasama Meinl HCS, 14 hihat, at 20 ride. decent naman ung tunog kaso nakukulangan ako kasi wlang crash.

BTW
Bago plang ako sa drum tuning, and novice drummer plang po ako, kaya baka iba kung yung "experienced" drummers ang naka try nung kit.
This is my first drum kit, saka medyo matagal na din akong di nakakapalo sa kit ng iba, kaya di ko pa i compare sa ibang kit.

Mag P-post ulit ako pag nakaabili na ko ng bagong drumheads, cymbals, etc.

Saka, May kilala ba kaung nagaayos ng bearing edge ng drums?
