Prior to testing, I helped Gene at ultrasound put together a cabinet to test the amps. For this test, a new Bruno 2x12 open cabinet just arrived. I helped Gene load it with spare Celestion Rola G12-65s that Ultrasound keeps around (It looks new too). Ideally, the cabinet should have been a 2x12 with an oval port at the back. This 2x12 cabinet is a hand made shell of spruce(also considered pine) and a birch ply baffle by Bruno.I took this picture para makita niyo na iba ang quality ng pine (hindi galing Baguio) na gamit nila Bruno and Birch Ply (na hindi marine ply) na selected pa para sa tunog. Huh? Wala akong sinabi na ayaw ko ang pine. In fact, as I recall at that time, my tone tubby cabinet was made of pine of fender dimensions pa yata. By the way, pine is NOT considered a hardwood.
Yep, pine is NOT a hardwood. In fact it can get very brittle. Very resonant, which make good resonator panels for recording studios.
Depende rin siguro kung anong klaseng pine. Bristlecone pine lives more than 5000 years kahit d cya siguro considered hardwood e ka katandaan kumunat na.

i missed this statement. pine and spruce are two different species of wood. so is the cab made of pine or spruce?
"and as good or better sounding than Two Rock" ... First time I've heard this description about the Bludo... most I've talked to say the Bludo is in a totally different level compared to the TR. What TR are you referencing the Bludo against BTW?I love TR cleans!
WOW that I gotta hear! The CR is a much respected amp! It's the Two Rock Classic Reverb and and Custom Clean that has my mojo running
I always thought it was the 150watt Bludo HPDAlways wanted a Komet Concorde but scared it will be unusable given the volume concerns on that amp!
Thanks to Gene of Ultrasound for allowing me to use his Max Baranet Les Paul Replica. Max Baranets now cost US$35-50k with a seven year wait time.
is the tone worth the price difference vs. your GY?
thats why its called a tonequest
Just did a quick google .. spruce is a kind of pine. HahahaGYgygygymay parrating nang bago! AND ITS NOT MINE
