I'm a big fan of '59 neck! Smooth, fat yet still has snap/clang of a single coil.

Very organic sounding pup =)

Join ako.

Primary Axe:
Dean VMNT equipped with Seymour Duncan Dave Mustaine LiveWire

Secondary Axe:
Jackson King V JS32T upgraded to Seymour Duncan Dave Mustaine LiveWire

These are basically active 9v versions of the famous Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB and SH-2n Jazz.

A super chunky combo perfect for standard tuning and even drop D (and D-standard), but if you go any further (d flat, C, B, etc.) it gets a bit muddy. With my very limited* experience in EMG81/85 and SD Blackouts, I still think LiveWires are better, the former two being too thin.

*: Very limited for me means just borrowed them from friends, played with them, and have not actually owned them.

Do you use them in a les paul?  I use '59 neck of my Standard, sounds great.  How does the Seth Lover compare?  What I like about '59 is that it is sparkly/punchy/thick/enough output that I really like.  How about the seth lover?

the standard neck lipstick on my multiac spectrum s/a provides some warmth to the bright acoustic tone of the bridge piezo, particularly when blended some 1/3s in... still have to experiment more though...

for heavy chug chug, sound happy na ako sa SD distortion and paired it with 59's sa neck on my RG...pero I am still on honeymoon stage with it, I would like to try it with high gain amps and other pedals (i.e. tightmetal, triplewreck etc.) and see how it sounds like.

I did this demo (kuno) just chugging along the with the gear that I have...I am not that good so this may not give justice to the said pickup but here it is

let me know what you think.

I really like to try it with high gain amps and other pedals though.

oo sir. it makes it sound bigger with more mids. unfortunately yung ganung sound not for everyone. try it. depende sa tugtugan mo. yung dalawang yan sa picture dinkies din both alder bodied.
