Guys, where did you see na gawa sa Pinas yung Bacchus? any links? I have a feeling baka nagkatypo or baka yung wood lang ang ineexport natin..kasi kung may planta diyan ng mga for export japan..dapat may BUZZ yan...or nafefeature sa mga tv shows "finoy Prayd" shows...I tried googling Bacchus made in the Philippines..parang wala naman nilalabas..

Bacchus Global Series are Made in RP according to JVG.com

It's the access to the instruments!

Very true, plus sa savings when you could find them locally instead of having them made here, shipped to Japan, and sold back here. Medyo nahilo ako sa sinabi ko

Yeah, saw it. I think the point of this thread is to get people to do a guitar factory witch hunt tho. ARGH.

"Keys Handmade Guitar Corp." is located in Bayan Luma, Imus, Cavite,
and apparently owned by Nelia Takashima.

What's the point to seeking out this factory's location?
I've seen posts about trying to get guitars direct from the factory,
despite explicit notice that all production goes to Japan. Some
posts even dwell on obtaining rejects and/or any overruns.

If their QC is worth a damn, they're not going to be disposing of
factory rejects or excess production carelessly, not in a way that
dilutes their reputation/image or especially that of Bacchus.

Trying to co-opt one of their employees to do something against
company policy is only going to ruin things for those employees,
for Keys Handmade Guitar, and any nascent foreign confidence
in "MIP" electric guitars.

oo nga. hirap sa pinoy hanggat makakalusot, ipipilit eh. mamaya may matukso nga na empleyado, mawalan pa sya ng trabaho. are we really willing to go that low? and for just a guitar?

Okay, real talk. Speaking on behalf of the people pushing for this, I'm just in awe and a tad skeptical of the country actually churning out export-quality equipment. Offsets at that. After buying imported guitars from Korea et al, I'm surprised we're actually producing for others rin. Hence my interest in confirming the quality of these guitars. Would it make any sense whatsoever to travel to Cavite to ask for offsets on their doorstep? Mahahasle pa kami. Sayang effort kasi malamang, ethical issues masasagasaan namin. But that's me speaking on behalf of the offset nerds. I don't know about the others.

Would it be better to mail Bacchus instead? If there's a market, extra profits yun sa kanila. Say for example, we do a group buy. Couldn't we just send the money straight to Japan and claim the units here? Either way, I've decided on a Bacchus but no one seems to ship from Japan now hence the interest in the potential accessibility of claiming units locally. Couldn't they just claim the delivery as pre-sold inventory since we're paying them (the Japanese) anyway?

Forgive me for all the questions, I'm new to the ethical underpinnings of situations like these.

now this statement, i don't understand. if you're planning to get a guitar from them, won't you make the trip to Cavite anyway?

1. it won't be considered profit because we are not their intended market.
2. kung group buy, most probably you would ask for a discount. malulugi pa sila lalo.
3. are you willing to pay for the guitars at their full selling price in Japan (including shipping, store mark-up, taxes, etc.)? i think not. you will argue that the guitars will no longer be shipped because it would be claimed locally and all other reasons.
4. if it will be sold locally, it will be subject to PH sales tax laws - which are high - and not Japan tax laws. mas magiging complicated pa ang transaction and mas mapapamahal pa kayo.

a lot of international companies subcontract their labor and manufacturing here. what do you think the industrial parks in the provinces are for? the units they produce are all for export and are not given for local consumption/purchase.

the only chance you might get to purchase their products is when they sell scrap. now would you want to purchase scrap?

hence the simple gist - if it's for export, it's for export.

either you buy from them directly (not sure if they ship internationally) or you get the used ones from ishibashi

I already checked Ishibashi rin. Yeah, there's a black/gold pg JM there used. As for the Bacchus website, it's entirely in Japanese.

Okay, really good points. I move to kill this thread by conceding. Malamang, mauuwi 'to sa oorder ako sa Ubox or straight from Bacchus themselves. Thanks for the input, guys. Really good feedback.

my post was not to burst your or anyone else's bubbles. if these were really sold locally, i might consider getting in the bandwagon for a strat or tele. there are some very appealing photos in the original thread.

kaya lang for export eh. sayang.  :)

Nothing personal, I just didn't understand if there are any legit means to make a purchase outside of the Japanese market. Anyway, I'm talking to my best friend. Asking her if she could help me buy one from there.

ALSO, HOOY, OUT OF STOCK RAW YUNG BACCHUS JAZZMASTERS.

We could also say that the final inspection is made in Japan therefore they would probably be unwilling to actually sell something they haven't inspected yet as it may hurt their name if a dud comes out.

Ah, sa Cavite pala at hindi Pampanga. My mistake.
Dun sa mga nagbabalak bumili nang direkta, tulad ng ibang outsourced products, I seriously doubt na ibebenta yun nang direkta.
