VLC Player - Subtitle Problem
« on: May 01, 2012, 10:35:02 PM »
I downloaded a movie with 2 rar files containing similar .sub files. Thing is, after extracting the .sub files, the subtitles still doesn't show up when the movie is played even if they're already in the same folder. I keep getting this error message when trying to play it with the subtitles:

I tried renaming the .sub file to .srt - no luck. Tried renaming both the movie and the subtitle file, still no luck. What should I do to make the subtitles work?

I'll just clean up later.

No, not yet. I want to use VLC, but I'll try it with GOM player. Will let you know what happens.

K-Lite sir?

Will try. But I really want to know how to resolve the subtitle problem on VLC. Hope someone pitches in.

This is the first time it happened btw. All other subtitles are working fine. Just this specific file/movie.

Dunno. Others seems to have it working. Other don't. Check this. http://kat.ph/death-bell-2008-dvdrip-korean-subt-english-t494504.html

Yeah. Problem is, yung kasamang subtitles sa movie, kahit irename ko pa, hindi talaga gumagana. Happy happy joy joy!
