I tried this one at megamall. Pure Octave vs Pitch Box.

Man it killed pitchbox all the way. The sound is rich tama nga specs niya unlike othe octave machine wala siyang dirt drythrough signal talagang malinis. Its polyphonic octave thats why very realistic sound. Plus the benefit na you can control the high ang lower octave mix at the same time
Gassing for one din ako kaya lang siya ata ang PINAKAMAHAL sa lahat ng micro series grabe kapresyo na niya yung OC3 sa classifieds hahahaha. OC3 BTW is its clone copy ata kulay pa lang give away na. Hehehe.

Thanks Sir Pie-key :-D Nalula nga ako dun sa price ng Pure Octave

And for the sake of this thread, here's what I think of the Blue Crab.

To my ears, the sound is compressed which I personally like. Would be great to partner with a single coil. You'll get better tones after half of the gain knob but would definitely useful to some on the first half of the gain knob. And of course, as an overdrive pedal, I always try to use it as boost for a distortion pedal. This little thing can really boost. I can still hear the compression which I think also cool. This pedal is the same size as a gd-123 enclosure from alexan. A very small enclosure that I was having a hard time building with because of its compact design. Mooer does it really clean.

Side by side with my custom amp footswitch.

Have not tried but I bet that it would be just like any other acoustic simulator out there. Although I still have and love my Boss AC-2, the technique here is use your mid pickup if you have any. It would also help if you use it directly to PA or acoustic amp during live situations. It would also be good for direct recordings. Based sa demo medyo malayo parin para sakin. Acoustic electric sound pwede na. Basta Mid pickup, PA or Acoustic amp kung pwede. You can get it as close.

Para sa mga nakagamit na ng Mooer Black Secret and Joyo US Dream...

Alin kaya mas prefer nyo para sa thick sounding dirt pedal? (Yes, one is replica of RAT and the other one is Suhr)
I have tried the US dream last month pero unfortunately I wasn't able to hear the Black Secret kasi wala daw silang stock.

Thanks.

I second the motion. And also, acoustic simulators works well with solid state amps. Doesn't really sound well with tube amps..,

Thanks.

I own a black secret. The filter knob of the black secret is a plus for this pedal. It is a low/high blend knob that you can tweak if you want more bass or treble in your tone. And the question about it being thick, yes. Compared to my crunchbox clone (middy which quite sounds nasal), it emphasizes more on the upper or lower mid depending on your tweaking. I tweak it more favour on the upper mid if I use the neck pickup and lower mid if I use the bridge pickup. Never tried US dream though but I've tried Suhr riot once. We shoot it out with Shredhead. Almost the same. The difference is just that Suhr quite quite treblier than SH. SH is, I think, a crunchbox clone.  :-D

So, is the Blues Crab now available locally? Or are you guys buying it abroad?

Does Mooer make a clone of the EP Booster?
