May tanong mga po ako...
Any ideas on how to do this...

Into anything closer to this???

Eto di po kasama hats... BTW I can't afford boom stands... :-(

But I came to a halt because I can't figure out kung pano at saan ko siya ikakabit...
(I can post pics in the afternoon to see the chair parts I taken...)
Any info po is greatly appreciated...

1. halus walang pinagkaiba.
thanks bro! Any other comments out there?

like yung sa a day to remember, and the devil wears prada.

K light ride and sweet ride will surely sound great together,
but the hats were pretty convincing  :-D

Or to coat it with laquer? Anu kaya mangyayari sa sound? :|

Anyone tried this already?  :|

IMO
rough sanding it makes it sound warm/muffled
smooth sanding makes it sound clean/focused
coating it with smooth surface will make it ringy/increase resonance

again, its based on my opinion

14 x 6.5 Pearl Sensitone Elite (18,500.xx)
-1.5mm beaded brass shell, remo heads, ultrasound snare wires, superhoops II

14 x 6.5 Pork Pie Big Black on Brass (18,825.xx)
-beaded shell, 2.3mm hoops, pork pie snare wires, tube lugs

14 x 6.5 Mapex Black Panther Sledge Hammer (18,895.xx)
-1.2mm hand hammered shell, sonic saver hoops, remo heads, premium steel wires

14 x 6 Ahead Black on Brass Snare

2. since lahat sila almost at the same price range, alin ang sulit overall?

any other insights?

+1,000,000

penge pong link

madaming existing thread about triggers and DIY triggers etc, though walang specific for bass drums. kailangan ng module lahat ng triggers para magkatunog actually hehe!

any other insights?

I'd go with either sledgehammer or ahead. interesting yung nuances ng sledgehammer since yung mismong shell niya is hammered so not so brash, yet still has that fat and wet brass snare sound. sa ahead naman clean and crisp sounding yung dating, reminiscent of carter beauford's snare sound IMO! :-D

mas may defined options though ang cobra clutch, like kung how closed yung closed hat effect mo etc.. if you have the budget, it's worth the gear! pero practically speaking, ok na din ang drop clutch hehe! :-)

ano sound ba hanap mo? dry? wet? warm? focused? etc..
