This isn't Behringer's first foray into digital mixers. Here's their first effort from 2002:

looks similar to a Yamaha 03D...
Sonar 4.04PE/5.2PE/7.02PE/8.31 PE, Project 5 v2.5.1, EmulatorX 1.5, Cubase SL2, Ableton Live 7.14,  Intel Q6600 MSI P43 Neo 4Gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2-800, Emu 1820m, Yamaha DSP Factory, Terratec DMX 6fire

If you did not brong this up Sir Kit I wouldn't have remembered they did build a digital mixer before. I didn't see this in their displays here though. Behringer was super new here that year.  8-)

I wonder what you mean by that. The faders are motorized and do not pass any form of analog audio, and the pots are rotary encoders. For one thing, this mixer got it's inspiration from Yamaha's 01/02R/03D family and well as Mackie's DB8, which are among the first digital mixers. Of course, there is always an analog component in these mixers, but it is in their A/D/A component, after which everything is in the digital domain. If there's one thing Behri skimped on, it's with their A/D/A converters, which I suspect with this model, is based on Alesis' ADAT converters.

Well, the X32 has gotten some help from Midas (since Midas was merged with Behri) so there may be some great tech underneath that facade. Behri has to get over their reputation for unreliability so its an uphill battle for them when it comes to acceptance, although they have had some products that work without problems. I actually know of 2 products that work great, their ADA8000 converter and guitar amp - I forgot which one but it has virtual emulation - that one session artist I personally know prefers his V-amp over Fenders and Marshalls (some people would be shuddering, but true story).

Personally, I would wait for some unbiased, in-depth reviews first.

kung icocompare sya sa A&H na analog, malaking advantage ang x32, as digital mixer, built in lahat, so malaking tipid sa space.

yung mga outboard gear mo pwede mong itabi. .

If the brand name "Behringer" has a reputation for unreliability, why didn't they brand the X32 as "Midas"?
