Wag. May punit yan after 1 week, unless piliin mo yung mga magjajamming.

Go bronze. Lower-end Zildjian, or Sabian B8 (pero relatively mahal siya). Dein brass cymbals dude.

planet Z din unang cymbals ko sa studio, it only last 2-3 months. tapos zbt pro naman nung dec 2005, so far ung hihat and ride ok pa naman, but the crash, 2-3 months lng punit na.

observed ko lang, ung crash ang una laging napupunit kasi manipis ito compared to ride and hihat.

i havent tried yet ung zbt rock, but the specs say it is thicker than the zbt pro. b8 din meron rock. ito ngaun gusto ko ring subukan.

Why don't you put up a self-made poster of "Proper Crash Techniques" in your studio? You can place it at the wall right infront of the drumset para nakikita palagi yun ng drummer. Believe me, once they see, understand, and execute those tips, mas tatagal yung buhay ng cymbals. At the same time, educating beginners on how to proplerly hit a cymbal.

Also, make sure that your cymbal stands are in very good condition! Make sure you have a sizeable stock of cymbal sleeves, felts, washers, locks and wing nuts. Sometimes destruction of cymbals can be attributed to poor cymbal stand maintenance. And, metal to metal contact should always be avoided.

Always keep your cymbals clean.

And lastly... Be nice to the kids who practice in your studio. Huwag masyadong masungit... Pag sinungitan mo kasi, baka gumanti lang sila. And the best way for them to take revenge is to destroy your equipment!
Besides... these kids are your source of income!

my opinion lang, parang sayang nga kung planet Z...mura nga pero di talaga sya maganda. sound and durability wise. kahit nga yung ride ko na planet Z before nag crack eh. i suggest save a bit more, or use yung 6k to get a cymbal (maybe a ride) that will last for years, not just a few weeks. i just got what might be the last piece ng 18" na edge crash na brand new sa JB...yun gamit ko na crash..so far the one i got 6 months ago is holding up pretty well...

Well said Din!

Agree. I think sa website ng Paiste merong ganito na you can just print out.

PANSIN KO NGA.... mga highschool boys tlga!

nope am not a heavy hitter. i also have a band studio dats why i know the life span of which cymbals when used in a band studio. sadyang madami talagang pasaway, lalo n mga high school kids. unang pasok plng sa studio mag uunahan n sa drums at hahampasin n agad ang cymbals, di nyo b napapansin un? hehe

malamang heavy hitter si toink, pero sa totoo lng di nadadaan sa lakas ng palo yan... hindi na din economical kung palit ka ng palit ng cymbals from time to time, pitik yung style ko sa drums so mas obvious yung accents and kahit pitik lng malakas pa din yung tunog without worrying about your cymbals. just my two cents worth
