Syempre nabibingi kung walang ear protection. Kaya gumagamit tayo ng ear plugs/muffs. Punta ka sa ACE, punta ka dun sa carpentry tools section (dun sa maraming martilyo, screw drivers) then look for ear plugs/muffs. In-ear plugs are cheaper than muffs and less bulky pero they might need a little bit of getting used to (I experience a little bit of ear fatigue with in-ear plugs, with that 3-flange tip exerting pressure in your ear canal). Buy both and see kung alin mas comfortable sa 'yo.

But if you want something better, you might wanna check out Etymotic's high fidelity plugs.

"D BALE NA BULAK SA TENGA WAG LANG BULAK SA ILONG"

Kidding Aside ........ yung isa kong China super sakit talaga sa tenga. Maganda ang tunog nya mind you but what i meant is yung frequency it produces nararamdamman ko talaga nag vivibrate yung  ear drums ko. Its hapens kahit  mid volume lang ang playing and only with this particular Cymbal sa iba hindi naman kahit malakasan pa na tugtugan.

It's good to address this issue kasi hearing damage is ireversible

hello po... newbie lang po ko dito... i used to have ear muffs.. and an ear plugs....i prefer na ear muffs...kasi ung plugs medyo masakit at at parang natutunaw..although it can minimize the sound better than the ear muffs.... try nyo po humanap ng kapitbahay or friend na may eng ng barko..nkahingi ako ng ear muffs sa kanila...much better kaysa dun sa nabibili sa ACe hardware..ksai mas mkapal at mas malambot ung foam dun sa loob..and mas rinig mo ung tone...pero hindi mo rinig ung impact...especially when hit the chinas..un lang po.....

and question lang po...why do i dent to get more aggressive pag nka ear muffs or earplug....??? na experience nyo na ba yung difference between my ear plugs or ear muffs dun sa walang suot????
thank you po...keep rockin guys...\::/ =))

Also using the VF-SIH

AND IT KILLS!

-24 decibel levels

Use this if you really want to hear your kit and cymbals

not ring up your ears due to the loud volume of playing plus you can plug it in your iPod so you can play along your favorite mp3s

i use those big, bulky and red ear muffs during practice. ang sarap mag-practice pag suot ko kasi parang tunog EQ'ed yung drums and ang sarap sa tenga. though hindi siya "appealing" tingnan pag live performances.

i use industrial-type earplugs yung nabibili sa mga hardware stores for live performances. fits in my ear snugly. nandun pa rin yung volume na gusto ko, pero sakto lang para marinig ko pa rin mga apo ko sa tuhod balang araw.

:-D

Sa mga hardware store like ACE Hardware meron mga earplugs at ear mufflers..

Sa Lyric naman meron silang Vic Firth Isolation Headphones...

Sa mga sportshop meron din, yung mga earplugs na ginagamit ng mga swimmers..
Planning for a Band Rehearsal Studio business. Baka may alam kayong space for rent around QC area lang. Please PM me. Thank you.

Naunaahan na ko si musicianurse... :-D

Yung mufflers sa ACE Hardware, handle it w/ care...
Mine snapped before I even used it on a gig...
Just trying it on & off my head snapped the thing in half...
I'm wearing glasses but di naman kalakihan ulo ko... :-D

If I were you I'd go w/ ear plugs because of the following reasons...

1. Portability - It can fit your pocket, stick bag or wear it like an earphone...
2. Price - It's literally much cheaper than ear mufflers...
3. Durability - Some earmuffs (like my case) snaps in half...
4. Comfort - You might feel a huge discomfort after using muffs for more than an hour...
5. Style - If you have a tall hair (Mohawk & etc) it's gonna mess it up...

My friend, all of these are from my experience... :-D
