baka naman meron sa inyong may kopya ng kahit anong album, kanta ng Ethnic Faces, pa pasa naman sa akin. Ilang araw na ang ginugol ko sa paghahanap ng mga kanta nila pero wala e.

meron ako nakita sa odyssey na compilation album, forgot the title, pero mukhang bagong release. some of the acts included in the album: wuds, wolfgang, ethnic faces, etc. yung bowling song ata nila ang kasali dun

Title of the compilation album is Tone Def Mismo.

I miss this show - Ito Yun Ang Galing! This was broadcast on channel 4 then. Other notable bands that joined this contest are Dead Ends, Public Scandal and Slick.

I wasn't able to watch the grand finals but I remember it was a toss up between Ethnic Faces and Slick for the Championship. Of course, Ethnic Faces entry was Within Tribes and Slick's was Hey You! A year later TRC released the second cassette called Brave New World Live and Ethnic Faces was represented by the songs Love and Within Tribes.

Then Nito Palacios (a.k.a. Integrated Circuit) released a compilation on his own label Counter Culture/Instance "Subterranean Romance, The Rise And Fall Of The Martial Law Babies" with Ethnic Faces giving us the first version of Golden Boy (not Local Boy as others think). A lot of the songs on this indie compilation ended up being re-recorded by then Wea Records as 10 of Another Kind.

I still have that indie album. Incidentally, Instance only has two releases, this was the second one. The first is the only cassette of Dean's December - Chemical Wedding. Unfortunately, that cassette was stolen from me. All 80s local punk/new wave/indie releases are now high ticket collector's item!

The two songs on the Brave New World cassette that featured Ethnic Faces were Love and their theme song Within Tribes.
