ang 9V adapter ko kasi is:

CANNON
model: AM-878S
multiple AC-DC adaptor
input: AC 220 60 Hz
output Voltage: 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,12
Output current: 1800mA

nagsisimua palang ako kaya wala pa akong daisy chain..

iba ba yung ADAPTER sa PSU?
salamat!

I think, este hindi pala dapat 'I think' dapat pala eh, baligtad ang pedal loop mo.  Ang distortion or other dirt pedal talagang maingay kaya dapat ang loop mo is

Guitar => volume pedal/wah => compressor/limiter (if you have) => preamp (if you have) => OD/distortion/fuzz/metal => noise gate/suppresor => modulation pedals (chorus/reverb/delay/harmonist) => amp

Kapag nilagay mo ang noise gate/suppresor mo before any dirt pedal wala siyang mapi-filter kundi ang guitar mo.

btw. about sa power supply,

AC adaptor. ang basehan mo diyan eh kung ano yung output, DC (direct current) ba or AC (alternating current)? for most pedals, ang kailangan natin ay DC (although hindi lagi, particularly digital multis like the Digitech RP250 for example which needs an AC output, but that's another story).

yung mga saksakan sa bahay, that is AC, and wala itong polarity. what an adaptor does is it drops the voltage (yung mga common wall warts). AC output pa rin yun. pero in the case of most appliance-intended adaptors, that lowered AC output is RECTIFIED (turned into DC/direct current), where it has a polarity na (negative-positive, or hot-common). so kita mo DC na diba, so pwede na ba sa pedals ito, assuming na tama naman ang indicated voltage and polarity? pwede. ganito lang naman kadalasan yung mga mumurahing adaptor sa market. may filtering capacitors na din ito kahit papano.

im betting your PSU/adaptor isnt regulated. has selectable voltage yan di ba? yung mga usual power adaptors na ganyan dehins regulated eh. the Cannon adaptor i used for an RP250 (modified, simply tapped the AC output) isnt regulated as well.

ang problema eh hindi ito well-regulated. for some reason, some power adaptors have poor regulation na hindi perfect DC ang nage-generate mula sa rectified power. couple that with the Philippines's way of wiring electrical connection (the lack of a third prong for grounding/earthing), you have a recipe for a noisy signal. need a real-life example? try touching the ground (lupa) or metal surfaces connected to the earth next time you engage your distortion.

kahit anong lagay mo pa ng noisegate dyan, band-aid solution pa rin yan IMO. the (not so) secret to noise reduction is a combination of proper rectification, filtering, regulation and grounding/earthing, among others.

-------------

I disagree. For me noise gates without loops should be first in the chain.
yan oh sa option 1 nasa last chain sya.

It is also accepted. But it doesn't tell us if it is for HIGH GAIN applications or not.

The suggestion that I gave is to address the concern of the TS which involves a high gain pedal.

Again, there is no right or wrong. It is my opinion and I am entitled to disagree with yours. It is up to the TS to follow which suggestion he thinks is best.

di kaya single coils PUPs mo?

-*-

kulang kase gain qng mababa...
if power supply, ang palagay ko is may noise padin kahit nakaZERO yung GAIN..
kaso pag nakaZERO yung GAIN, wala syang ugong eh...

Not necessarily. It could be possible that there is still noise present but is not audible when you turn the gain to zero.

antimano may noise na yang setup mo kahit hindi pa naka-engage yang distortion pedal. when you amplify>compress that input signal na MAY KAUNTING NOISE, pag nagtaas ka ng gain maririnig talaga yan. pretty normal. pero kung hindi nga regulated ang power supply mo, isa pa yang culprit. basahin mo kasi mga posts ko.

depenede sa noise gate mo, may mga noise gate na halos walang pinag iba ang quality ng distortion pag naka activate noise gate. for example ang ZOOM NOISE REDUCTION Zoom Noise Reduction (ZNR) was developed specifically for guitar. While keeping any alteration of the original sound to an absolute minimum, ZNR shuts out unwanted noise in the playing pauses. Even the tails of long sustain notes come out beautifully, with natural release. Additional flexibility is provided by two noise gates. The vintage type DIRTY GATE is a great match for fuzz sounds, while the high-speed muting of the GATE setting brings heavy riffs into clear focus..

wala naman noise ang gitara mo kaya dapat after joyo talaga yan.

sorry beg to differ bro. owned a G2.1u and a Zoom G3 before, the ZNR does a good job on eliminating unwanted noise PERO ramdam na ramdam ko yun tone loss pagnaka engage siya, parang hindi full yun tunog mo at may kulang pagnaka engage siya :)

For me ZNR is the best of all the multifx I've owned.

guitar > NR100 > ExtremeMetal > amp  =  maingay pag naka standby (may ugong )

, ang work nya is finifilter pag mahina yung tunog, at hindi yung malakas, so pag nakaStandby, finifilter  nea kasi ang nadidinig lng nmn don is yung mahinang buzz ng strings.
pero pag ginamit mo, prang madidisEngage yung filter para yung tone is ganon padin.. db?

am i right?
