regarding wardrobe, I remember watching an episode of queer eye for the straight guy (yes, you can get some manly fashown tips from this show). I remember this episode where one of the hosts mentioned the essentials:

sa shoes: running shoes, formal black leather shoes, and a brown leather casual pair...

1 good pair of shoes:UA Valsetz Tac Boots (2 years),UA running shoes(4 years) and a Vans Classic (5 years and still kicking dust),yung iba pinamigay ko na lang.

1 good all around watch..of a good brand and quality..:a 4 years old Casio G-Shock

1 good phone - Nokia X1(4 Years old)

a few good pairs of pants 4 Tailored Tac Pants(4 years old)

a few good quality shirts, belts..etc 2 sets of Rigger Belts(3 years old) 5 piece Plain Shirts(Eto lang halos napapalitan ko in a yearly basis,hardcore yung mga laundry machines eh)

Some few gadget (1 E-reader,1 Tablet,1 Mp3 Player)
My wardrobe is the size of kid's toy stash

Frugality can pay off in the long run,I get to realize a lot of this stuff being away most of the time,and learnt that people can live from just the stuff you can normaly fit inside a backpack

With regards to musical gear,after bailing out from my band huminto na rin halos yung search ko for this things,I just revisit my old stocks and make the best out of em,may occasional buys but only if my bonus ako or talagang drool worthy yung item,pero pag hindi mas matagal pa yung pag iisip ko kesa sa pakipagtawaran.

Denims - 1 pair of Levi's (2012) and 1 GAP (2009).

Jackets / Suits - one gray, one black-ish, one light brown. Slacks to match (black and brown) and shoes to match (black and brown).

I'm at the stage where no one can force me to wear ties (uncomfortable and  impractical) nor barong (ugly, in my opinion).

I still live with a lot, pero hindi luho tulad ng mga gadgets or TV. marami akong mga utilitarian stuff, like tools, or mga makaka-enhance ng work or ease. kunwari oo may relo ako, but for the longest time wala dahil may phone naman. pero nung nagkaroon na ng Pebble smartwatch, bumili na ako. same price ng decent watch but does more. bang for buck sakin. may waffle maker ako pero nagiging sandwich press at grill din, sobran sulit. meron din akong dedicated tools. di na ako nainiwala sa multi-purpose tools/gadgets, inefficient sya, at mas madali masira. I'd rather have a single purpose tool or gadget na maraming pwede paggamitan. tulad ng undershirts. maganda yung mga undershirts na binibili ko, v neck na solid color makapal ang tela. so undershirt to panlabas sakto lang, kahit ipantulog mo ok din.

though I do still believe in smartwatches  most people pan it for being redundant as well, but those people either haven't used one or they use it wrong. I think it's the step into the future, because it helps us DETACH from the tech we have now

Kung palamelamesa lang I usually go to the DIY route, sobrang hassle ang furnitures, hindi narin naman practical yung mga prime wooden furnitures aesthtically eyesore na lalo pag medyo modernized na yung theme nang bahay mo.

environmental ata ang issue sa bamboo, it's cheap as fck but you just can't plant bamboo anywhere. yung mga habitat whatever na admittedly totoong malaki ang impact.

haha, for me, I want furniture thats simple and easy to clean..yun lang..

living away and moving cities and apartments many many times have taught me a lot about house care and maintenance... less is more! haha and no matter how closed you keep your windows and sliding doors..laging may annoying dust build up!!!

this is exactly why I want  bamboo laminate furniture! simple, economic, looks cool as fck, and they're easy to clean (usually kasi lacquer finish).

tsaka totoo yang dust buildup na yan! kahit sarado ang bintana! dati bumili ako ng bagong loofah, tapos naka sara yung bintana ng cr ko nun, pagtingin ko ng sabado (kasi di ko nagagamit pag weekdays nagmamadali kasi) wow ITIM NA!!  so first line of defense ko may pledge talaga ako pang furniture, I think it's practical to have, and it keeps your stuff in better condition.

tips:

shaving cream: use women's hair conditioner instead (better/cheaper than gilette foam/gel). merong 88 pesos na almost 1 liter sa mga thrift shops (like japan home). nakakalambot ng buhok ang conditioner at hindi masyado foamy so it doesn't obstruct your view. lampas lampas isang taon mo gagamitin ito.

razor: meron safety razor sa lazada (do you really need 5 blades?) and di hamak na mas mura ang gilette rubie blade (double edge). meron din plastic na safety razor sa supermarkets and 'bente-bente' stores. personally, i use a merkur futur (hehehe) pero mura naman ang blades.

shampoo: dilute it with water then ilagay mo sa 1 liter container. ikaw na bahala sa timpla pero sure na mas matagal maubos.

everyday deodorant: dissolve tawas in water, place in atomizer/sprayer. use a 50ml sauce container to measure tawas (dissolve two of these to 1 liter of water). alum has skin tightening and antibacterial properties. hanap ka tawas sa palengke (50 pesos/1 kg). applying tawas directly is wasteful.

+1 sa conditioner. ginagamit ko rin yan pang manscaping. swabe 

sa razor, wag na ka bumili ng mga mamahaling cartridge type. lalo na yung Mach 3 ng Gillette, yun pa rin ata ang pinaka popular ngayon. May 3-blade na disposable na ang gillette, pero bang for buck yung Gillette Blue II where price:modern comfort is concerned. and yeah both of those last longer than a Mach 3 cartridge (I know, I tried). yung nirerecommend ni sir chiqgarcia na single blade, well kelangan medyo may tamang haplos ka para masulit mo 

gusto mo makatipid sa shaving cream at razor, magpa-sugaring ka na lang ng balbas mo, matagal pa babalik, tapos pag lumabas na parang buhok ng baby.

may tanong ako mga sir/maam, medyo OT pero related pa rin.

Self-confessed pack rat kasi ako. sobrang pack rat ko na andun pa rin yung almost 5 months old na medium fries ng Mcdo sa extra snare drum ko. ganung level.

anyway, marami akong gamit na di ko tinatapon pero di ko naman ginagamit, pero minsan nagagamit ko talaga (like twice a year) di tulad ng malala na pack rat na di na nagamit since huling tumae sa diaper. nasasayangan kasi ako kung ibebenta ko lang  ng palugi or libre na lang diba tapos bibili ako ng bago pag kailangan. isa pang problema dyan eh di ako naniniwala sa multi-use things. mas ok sakin yung single purpose things na pwedeng i-hackpara makagawa ng ibang bagay, pero kasi nadala na ako sa multi-use na gamit kasi matibay at di naman ganun kagaling sa paggawa ng trabaho nya compared sa dedicated tool. help!
