i'm back in the Tele club. or am I?  i got a Squier Tele Custom (2 HBs) e. not tele enuff? hehe. in any case, balak ko lagyan ng 2 GFS Fat PAFs w/ coil-split and in/out-of-phase wiring.  then it will be kosher. :-D

Here's a test recording (via celfon audio recorder) of my new Squier Tele Custom (stock pus).  Pls focus on the sound; I've never really learned how to play this song properly so I'm fumbling all over!

PS - sori for the cross-post

in terms of sound, ano ang kayang gawin ng tele na di kaya ng strat?
ano naman ang kaya ng strat na di kaya ng tele?
eh les paul to a tele?

salamat. ang alam ko lang kasi yung sinasabing signature sound ng tele na twangy. sana may makapagbigay ng comparison.

what can a tele do that a strat can not? they are completely different beasts IMHO. i mean the tele has its own distinct sound. the neck pickup is kinda jazzy/smoother sounding than the strats. the bridge pickup sounds very in your face.

the tele has its limitations but if you need a tele sound, you cant get it from a strat. bt if you need a strat sound from a tele, it can be approximated in a way.

anyway. i want to thank the great jmorrero for setting up and breathing new life to my telecaster. i recently got glendale brass saddles and he set it up for me, making it sound more tele than before. the guy knows a lot about tele tone. he is a true student of the instrument and has a wealth of knowledge and experience.

thanks again.
