got rid of all my guitars and trimmed down to a Standart tele, a Fat Strat and a Standard Strat. thin sound for the Tele (10's strings), medium sound for the Standard Strat (9's strings), and heavy for the Fat Strat (10's strings), but take note: all have twangs.

personal preference lang talaga.. simplicity is for the Tele

Post ko lang ulit.  :-)

I'm really happy with my 2nd hand squier BSB affinity tele. I got this about a year ago.

Upgrades:
-string-through body (customized by arie, according to the previous owner)
-"Fender" decal on headstock
-converted to vintage fender US tele bridge (courtesy of jmorrero)
-switched to Suhr Vintage 60's Single Coil PUPs (courtesy of micsis)
-3-ply white pearloid pickguard (courtesy of PJC)
-250k CTS volume and tone pots installed

I still want to buy a US tele eventually, probably a Baja tele or a tele deluxe. But for now I'm really digging the looks and the sound of this baby.  Kluson-tuners na lang ang kulang to complete my project. :-)

The one with the pearloid pickguard is a '72. the other one with the black pickguard is the 1977. Fender introduced the Telecaster Thinline in 1969. By 1972, Fender upgraded the hardware with 2 wide range humbuckers, bullet truss rod and 3 bolt neck fixing. Production ran until 1981.
Here's a pic of the '77 Thinline's headstock. Notice the serial number with the S prefix...

No problem man  :-D.
I saw some of the reissues back in the 90s at medyo kulang sa detalye.

nice teles sir. crush ko yung apple red..

curious lang ako. what's the difference between a maple neck tele and a rosewood neck tele? will the sound/tone of the guitar be a little bit fatter if its a rosewood tele?

yumyum.. i've always been GASing for a thinline.. kahit RI lang. ngayon iba na.. :-D

Some people say they get a fatter tone out of a rosewood neck (Maple isn't that bright sounding of a wood to begin with). Pero I think the body and the pickups, and most importantly, the player ang mas nagde-define ng tone. Aesthetically, I prefer rosewood boards, but that's just me.  :-D

rosewood fretboard (without side bindings) are easier to refret, kaya mas mura compared sa maple with lacquer.
