yeah I was gonna play the same riff over and over for a fair shootout, but thought it would be very boring. Haha! Anyway, this is mostly for fun and to give an overview. I had just finished cleaning and setting up the guitars, some also have newer strings, and the others have old ones na.

got lazy to do everything again so just 2 guitars (tele and strat) into the ethos amp.

@metalx no prob! about recording, I usually use a dynamic mic (SM57 or EV RE20) and do a close-miking for better bass response especially from smaller amps. You can see the mic position on the 2nd video

The interface also makes a big difference -- i use an apogee one which i found very good esp. in its price range.
I set the amp EQ mostly flat and use the mic position to get the EQ i like (closer to the cone center is brighter and moving it towards the side makes it darker). Lastly, make sure your amp is just the right volume for the room you are in, tube amps like to be pushed, but getting it too loud for your room can cause unwanted sounds echoing back into your mic. The blues Jr. volume was just at 2 on the first video, and the ethos had about the same volume din.
