still my number one. dami kong gitara pero this guitar makes me HAPPY
holy smokes! ang payat ko pa!!!
anong year ulit 'to? I remember first time I saw you play sa QC (yung bar near a subdivision na palaging umaangal yung kapit bahay sa ingay), you were playing that white RG. I think you covered Die To Live.
i think its a tossup between the 2 MicSis teles for me. for the longest time I thought it'd be my old 52ri.
i loved the sound but the neck was something i thought could be improved on, like maybe if it had a flatter radius, but then i felt the itch to experiment and sold it. then went through a phase of trying out tele after tele, buying and selling each, trying to chase the sound i was getting with that old blonde. i learned a lot but could never find the right neck or the right sound.
yung breakthrough came with the '83 SQ series Squier tele Ten now owns (the 2nd guy from the right in randymarsh's pic). It had almost no finish, jumbo frets and a 4 way switch and sounded awesome but, more importantly, felt great. I think I went through about 8 pickups on that guitar, figuring out what kind of pickups (high wind/low wind, alnico 5/2/3, with baseplate/no baseplate) my ears liked.
The stuff I picked up about what
I like along the way I sort of distilled into the 2 MicSis teles. Yung first, the green one, was an experiment to see if it could get it to sound like the old blonde but with a better neck, the 2nd was an attempt to repeat repeat the SQ Squier (again, with a neck closer to how I like it). They dont sound identical and each one does some things better than the other but the feel across both guitars is close enough for me not to favor one over the other. Coin toss palagi or whichever has the fresher strings.
