This thread just gave me an idea - we have consultants coming in every week from HK at the office. I might be able to convince one of them to buy stuff for me at TLee's. Do they have a catalog online where I can check out their prices?

Yes sir, they have. But they actually have more items for sale that are not listed online. Im going there tomorrow, baka meron kayong particular item na gustong malaman, just pm me ASAP!

Around 12,000php!!! tulo laway mo 'no?! :-D
Tama Artwood snare, last time nagtingin ako nasa 12K din.

yes dude sale ngaun. weheheh. just got my guitar stuff and will get a couple more before the end of FEB para naman masulit ung chinese new year. nasa HK ka ba sir???

Ayus!!
Tumutugtog ka ba jan sa HK? Saan?

sir dito po ako sa macao. Meron isang small shop ang tom lee dito and the prices are really competitive. IN fact since sale naman ngaun, nag GAS na ako ng maigi and ordered several stuff. 2 Boss TU 2, Digitech bacd monkey, BOss DS 1 and BOSS FS 5L for my SD 2. astig talga sir. laki ng discount

sir bamm andito pala uli kayo sa china sana this time makapagmeet natayo sharing nadin , GodBless

Hey Prof. Pyong (o ProMark kasi pro ka e!) Drop the word sir naman, di naman ako kagalang galang e

Anyways, two weeks lang ako sa pinas last december, gusto ko nga magpunta jan sa shekou nung bumalik ako dito sa shenzhen, lalo na ngayong malamig, masarap gumimik! Kaso madyo busy na din sa work at uuwi pa ako sa pinas bukas. 2 weeks uli!

I went to Tomlee last saturday, looking for 13" A custom proj hats pero wala na akong naabutan kundi dalawang pair ng hats (Paiste & Quick beat) Out of stock na daw at after two months pa daw uli darating yung bagong shipment nila. Wala namang masyadong special sale for drum gears except dun sa Iron cobra twin peds (not the bling bling!) & Yamaha flying dragon twin pedal na ang price is around HK$ 1,700 something. Ubos na din yung gator cymbal bag kaya I ended up buying a certain Adrian Young(?) signature bag Napabili pa ko ng 20" A custom crash dahil sa katangahan ko e ang kelangan ko pala yung may word na "Projection" So ayun, uwi ako bukas ng may konting pagsisisi..anyway, sana maka attend ako sa mini eb despite na despidida ng sister ko,family reunion,at bday pa ng isa ko pang sister yung sabado na yun.Haay!  :|

hi sandy, i dont know about the nearest one sa airport pero para sulit punta mo, go to the camerone lane branch kasi its the biggest, should take you about 30minutes from the airport via airport express train then change to tsim sha tsui lane mtr tapos labas ka ng tsim sha tsui station via its cameron street exit. here is my attempt to give you more directions:

MAP A:

1. while at the main lobby of the airport, look for the sign "trains" or "mtr" or "airport express"
2. look for a mtr/train ticket vending machine/dispenser.
3. select airport express, select "return" ha (roundtrip) wag single
- travel route from airport to hong kong station (see map, point 1 to 2; light blue line)
- this will cost you HK$100 (for a same day return ticket; more pag different day return)
- get on the airport express train
- while inside the train, its the 3rd stop( stop 1 is tsing yi, stop 2 is kowloon, stop 3 is your stop hong kong station)
- travel time is 24minutes, kahit i-time mo pa
4. get off at hong kong station
5. look around you and look for the sign that says "MTR" or yung train symbol or Island Line (dark blue line sa map) or Tsuen Wan Line (red line sa map), walk towards that direction (point 3 in map)
6. look for a ticket vendo machine
7. get a mtr ticket; taking the Tsuen Wan Lane (red line sa map)
8. follow the train signs and walk towards the Tsuen Wan Lane (red lane) platform
9. Get on the train
10. first stop will be Admiralty (not your stop, relax); get off on the 2nd stop (Tsim Sha Tsui staion); point 4 in the map

MAP B (refer to this when you get to Tsim Sha Tsui station):

11. follow the exit signs
- follow the signs to exit B2 Cameron Road exit; dyan ka dapat exit (see map B)
- pwede rin B1 pero di ka nakaharap sa Cameron road pag labas, so you have to look behind you pa when u get out the underground. (see map B)
- pero strictly get out through exit B2
12. after gettin out of the underground, relax, look around you and make sure you're in cameron street by looking for the street sign
- if maling exit nilabasan mo, relax, ask for directions to CAMERON road while outside the station, you could be just across the road. so they'll point you towards the right spot.
13. Walk along Cameron Road
- look around you while walking, you will see big yellow store signages that says TOM LEE which will give you arrow signs to turn left into Cameron LANE (its the first left corner while walking along cameron road from the train exit)
- you will also notice that there is a Tom Lee branch on your right side while walking along cameron ROAD, that is their cameron ROAD branch (keyboards, pa systems and [gooey brown stuff] lang dyan, u dont want to go their for drum items) (See map B, yung small green circle is that small branch of Tom Lee)
14. While along Cameron ROAD, just a few meters from the train station exit b2, turn left on the first corner
- That is cameron LANE, open your eyes, Tom Lee is right in front of you at the end of that short side street. (See Map B, that big green circle!).
15. get in and feast your eyes

to go back to the airport, just retrace your steps, follow the map, from point 4 on Map A, make your way to Point 1.
- go down exit B2 of tsim sha tsui mtr station (point 4)
- buy ticket for Tsuen Wan Lane (red line in map A) going to Central Station (point 3)
- get in the tsuen wan lane train going towards the direction Hong Kong island or central station
- get off at the 2nd stop (central station, point 3)
- walk towards airport express train platform
- you dont need to buy a ticket if you bought a 'return' ticket, pero you gotta use the same ticket you started with if its a return ticket you have; otherwise buy another single ticket to the airport
- ayun get off at the airport stop. have fun!

thats about as detailed as i can get, dont worry its not that hard to find and get to. hong kong bros, if i missed anything paki edit/add na lang. cheers!

I just came from hkg and i could recall some cymbal prices, here they are:

20" zildjian k custom hybrid ride 2100 hkd @6php = 12k Mura!
20" zildjian k custom ride 2100 hkd
17" zildjian k or k custom cymbals, whether dark, thin, normal: 1700-1800 hkd
16" zildjian k dark: 1600 hkd

generally highend zildjian cymbals like k, k custom, a custom at tom lee (cameron lane, tsim sha tsui branch) cost:

for size 17: 1600-1900 hkd
for size 18: 1800-2000 hkd
for size 20: 2100-2400 hkd

some neat new stuffs i saw over there:
puresound snare wires (average of 2000-2500pesos each)
DW snares, puresound bass beaters, danmar beaters, paiste signature cymbals (lots of it!).

thats about all I could remember.

 :-)
