Newbie here, Pahelp nman po for choosing an acoustic guitar.

I strongly suggest the same thing klemberts! Big no no yung papainstallan mo ng pick up yung acoustic na yari na. Phoebus talaga ang best option brad kasi hindi ganung kataas ang tubo nila compared sa ibang namention mo na sa commercial spaces mabilili such as malls.

Kumbaga, yung 9k worth na guitar sa Fender, 6k lang sa Phoebus pero of the same caliber sila in terms of quality and materials.

Now kung gusto mo lalong malito ka sa kakapili magdadagdag ako ng suggestion  try mo yung acoustic guitars ng Cort sa Lazer, I have tried some quite decent ones na swak sa budget mo

ayaw ko nang malito bro! baka sumakit pa ulo ko haha.. Di ko naman kailangan ng pickups kasi for home tsaka for practice at jamming2 ko lang naman to gagamitin. nag sasave pa ako ng pambili ng high end quality guitar. yung tatagal talaga.

Kidding aside tamo @ P7,5k, nakafishman pups ka na. You can't go wrong with Phobeus talaga

medyo.    di ko akalain ganito pala kalito pumili ng gitara. maybe I'll just go for Phoebus or Yamaha, kasi sabi ni sir louie ng yupangco magsasale daw sila ng yamaha next week or this april. update2 lang daw sabi niya. baka mas makasave ako sa sale.

I've been hearing stuff about these low-mid priced Chinese acoustic guitars. Maganda yung materyales and even yung build quality, pero sumasablay daw yung scale. Eh mahirap pa naman mahalata yun while you're testing a guitar for the first time. Let the buyer beware.

Kung may kilala kang marunong tumingin ng gitara, I suggest you bring him when buying. If you are interested in used guitars, an old Morris is a good buy, but you really need someone who knows how to check it.

yun nga problema bro eh, ako lang mag-isa(meron ako mga kilala pero kung di naman busy eh malayo) at first time kong bumili ng gitara para sakin. kaya medyo nahihirapan akong pumili. ok lang sana kung no budget limit dahil sigurado makakabili ako ng magandang gitara ..like gibson at martin

IIRC, Guitar Pusher have their acoustic guitars properly set up (by them) before selling. Nung tumambay ako dun, someone was feeling a nut (of a Phoebus, I won't tell who lol.)

Tambay ka dun OP. Test mo kung anong guitar ang swak sa feel mo, budget and looks. Youc an also get a feel of their electrics as well. GAS.

alam mo magkano ang yamaha fg700s sa pinas, kakayanin kong istretch ang budget ko para dun.
may nakita akong takamine, sa jb yata yun di ko triny. kasi ang mamahal di pa kaya ng budget ko. as much as possible stick to 10k range lang ako.

Your taste sa sound really is a factor.....  Currently i have a yamaha acoustic guitar, fender cd60, celebrity ovation, and an applause slim bowl. If they are using new strings (daddario light). My yamaha produces the bass the best, fender is a bit balanced, my ovation clebrity produces a trebly sound but still like it. Applause ....not your everyday guitar...good when plugged.

I suggest try each guitar and check what suits your taste. I know it will take time but at least you will buy the sound that you realy like.

Next factor is duarability. My yamaha and ovation celebrity was bought early 90s (1992). Bridge and neck is still in good shape. My applause was bought 1999. Machine heads are weak....easily replaced. Need to change the nut after about seven years of use. Fretboard.....a bit soft. Fender....its made in china bought it in yamaha makati 2011 or 12. Nice fishman and balanced sound..... Liked it a lot. My only comment(also problem that other users are experiencing.) the laminate is to thick...hence you got a very shiny finish. The bridge is glued to the laminate. After 2 or three years the laminate on the bridge side started to lift up. Had to remove the bridge....then mask and sand off the laminate and glue the bridge to the wood.

Totoo yan., pero yung mga pusher sa GP ay patas. Hindi ka nila bebentahan ng gitarang sa tingin nila ay sablay.  Binabalik kasi nila sa manufacturer ang hindi ok na made.

ok yung fender at yamaha. huwag yung greg bennet dahil sa preamp nya. ok sana yung build quality at tunog (ng hindi naka saksak). interested din ako sa guitar pusher. sayang yung fishman pickups. yung pa lang mahal na kaagad pag stand alone binili. syang wala ng Dame dito. ok din un.

Makapag try ngang bisitahin ang GP someday when I'll change my residence na (from Visayas to Luzon). I wanna try their Phoebus and maybe some LPs.

For me, I think what I will check first sa acoustic guitar is the build quality and playability (thus, I think of those established brands which I read from reviews or feedbacks).

As for the tone, I don't usually fall in sa mga reviews and feedbacks. Here, I let my ears decide na. Hindi kasi consistent yung tunog ng mga acoustic guitars kahit pa same model sila. 0.02

Guys, I just had my appointment with Guitar Pusher this coming tuesday 2pm-6pm. I'm deciding to get PG30c, PH700 limited edition(may stock daw sila) PG50c or PG60c. Hope I will like it and will make the right decission purchasing a Phoebus acoustic guitar.
