Hi! I'm a guitarist looking for musicians to play a "fusion" of blues, rock and experimental music with, as well as some bastardized jazz, if our skills and chemistry permit. (By the way, the quotations enclosing "fusion" serve to preclude any impression of pretentiousness, hehe.) I'm looking for a drummer, a bassist and, hopefully, a keyboardist.
I'm 28 and have been playing guitar for close to 15 years, some of which I was more serious and focused than in other times. I listen to all kinds of music, but for this particular project I wish to tackle the abovementioned genres. Inspirations for this project would be Matt Schofield, Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats, Doyle Bramhall II, Gary Clarke, Jr, and others whose sounds are similar to these artists'.
I hope to play with people who first and foremost love music more than any other passion, hobby or preoccupation they have. I say this because I've been in a band for so long and we can't seem to move forward partly because of the members' other interests getting in the way, which, by the way, is the primary reason for my desire to play with other people. Of course, family and livelihood come first, but it is hoped that the members of the group take the music seriously.
Currently I live in QC, near SM North.
As for other criteria, I'm not really particular about age, but I put premium on maturity, which obviously knows no age. And with maturity hopefully come understanding, commitment, and respect.
