This is the ESP Snakebyte guitar. For an odd shaped guitar this is the most comfortable one yet. The weight is balanced not top heavy like other guitars similar in shape. Was able to use one during a gig with Kastigo at Ayala Terraces in Fairview. Felt easy to handle walking and running around on stage.

Japanese ESP or LTD Korean version, work well.

Let's just say from 12 years of playing Ibanez guitars, transitioning to the LTD H-308 was not a problem. I like the 27" scale of my 2 Ibanez 8s though. Sounds and feels better and less compressed IMHO despite using same pickups (EMG 808s). LTD seems better built than the two.

Don't get me wrong, the H-308 is worth it especially for the price I got it for.

What really bothers me is the abalone. I use the markers on the top of the fretboard as my guide when playing instead of those on the actual fretboard and the abalone gets in the way.

Albeit, this guitar is a keeper and recommended :)

Try Tesla. Here's a guitar restored and installed TESLA Bridge.

Glad you like it Bri, pero the change from 27" to an 8 string with 25.5", how does it feel to you? Too much abalone love hahaha

Bro mabilis naman naka adjust! Pero siguro if I didn't have 2 years of playing experience with 27", di naman magmamatter at from normal guitars madali mag shift to 8 using ltd h308. I actually dont get people saying 25.5" is too short sa 8 - pwede naman mag higher gauge strings. The 27" are just "advantages" and I agree that they sound and feel better but the 25.5" will be enough sa 8 (I tune to F standard). Abalone placement lang talaga complaint ko nakaka duling hehehe.

how about their 7's?have you tried those?im eyeing for the h-1007.

few days ago i went to one lyric branch to try another model(m-17) because they dont have the h-1007 just to get the feel of the guitar, specially the neck.asked the staff "pwede itry yung 7 nyo?".he answered in a low voice that i didn't even understand what he said.then he walked away.i was kinda pissed off after that incident because i really went back to the store after my scheduled appointment just for the guitar.

btt:i really like the h-1007 because the specs is almost the same as my main axe.

I have tried the ltd mh-417 and mico's 7-string guitars before. Great well-built guitars!

I also tried the Ben Savage 7 and man that was so easy to play on.

Late post. I got this one last June 2013

I upgraded the pickups to The Breed and PAF Joe.

I sent the guitar to Rey Vargas of Guitar Fix for a series-parallel setup on the PAF Joe with a push-pull pot on the tone. He also shaved the base of the lock nut for a lower action.
