for sure maganda yan. excellent choice kahit sa mga raw materials pa lang. siyempre gaun din sa finished product.  :wink:

which leaves me wondering why other big name companies settle for scarf joints. sobra naman sila magtipid sa materials kaya tapal2x ang kinalalabasan at walang tibay.a few years later nababali na ang neck.

Actually, I don't mind scarf joints. They are structurally stronger. With one-piece necks, the grains don't run along the length when you reach the headstock.

On a production point of view, woods with more than 2 inches in thickness are scarce since lumber suppliers mostly cut it in 1-inch or 2-inch thickness. So scarf joints are the better alternative.

Incientally, kaya hindi na nag takeoff ang Firestar project eh na sidetrack na ng Bluesmaster GAS.  Pero yung Special ed lang. Masyadong mahal ang figured top nila.
Nung sinukat mo yung Bluesmaster, kumusta ang feel n'ya kumpara sa Les Paul?

Still feels like a Les Paul. A very very very very well-made Les Paul. Subtle differences like the smaller body and shaped heel make it a bit easier to play. :-)

Nope. Just trusty yellow glue for this one. Proper jointed/ planed surfaces + proper clamping = Stellar Results  :razz:
