im using 10-52s on my tele.sounded right for me.but im planning to try 11s

Flatwound 12-52 in standard tuning. 25.5 scale. Fuzzy guitar stuff.
are flatwounds harder to bend?/? though i know 12's are hard to bend ? ,,, planning 8's on my travel guitar  :-D

the battle of tone vs technique has been on since the beginning of guitar playing.

i personally would go with tone, rather than technique...

its all about putting "soul" to the said tone...
The fear of death.
Make the climb; without the rope.
Then fear will find you again.
