sa drilling kapag di ka maingat talagang may chance na mag crack yung acrylic - yung 8" acrylic ko, nag crack yung first screw hole dahil masyadong mabilis yung drill. dapat slow rpm lang at matalas na drill bit gagamitin. or if you can find stepped unibits then your odds of success becomes higher

then sa choice of lugs, kung double ended lug gagamitin mo tulad nung nasa acrylic ko, less chance na magcrack yung shell dahil may counter forces sa top at bottom heads unless mabagsak mo sya. kung gagawin mo yung smaller lugs na separate sa top at bottom, malamang may chance na masira yung shell, syempre depende rin sa tension ng heads at kapal ng acrylic na gagamitin.
kahit di mo lagyan ng gasket ok lang. nauso lang naman yung gasket kasi undersized dati yung drums so hindi mag-align ng tama yung lug receiver at tension rod so naglagay ng gasket para tumaas yung lug at pumantay. sabi nung iba, to protect the finish daw pero kung wrapped yung drums kahit walang gasket ok lang. same with urethane finishes. pag lacquer ibang usapan, kung hindi properly dried yun, kahit mag gasket ka pa, babakat pa rin yung korte ng lug
