I need your help, brethrens. Should I go for the Dimarzio Tone Zone S or Seymour Duncan Hotrails? Both are great in their own. I spend a lot time to research about the 2 pickups pero I can't decide until now kung ano kukunin ko. Basically for P&W set-up. Pero sparkly/chimey tone naman kapag nasa position 4 (Mid + Bridge PU) which is my favorite position kapag rhythm part na! I can't stand din ung noise/hum ng single coil, which I know na nature talaga ito ng ganitong klaseng pickup. Pero based on the reviews, mas noise cancelled daw ung mga ganitong single-coil humbucker style pickups. I do like full sized humbucker, kaso gusto ko mapreserve ung itsura ng Strat na SSS configuration. Ayoko ko na din kasi gumastos for pickguard, so rejected ang full-size humbucker for me.
Mas maganda din "daw" tone from Dimarzios kesa SDs, o vice versa? First time ko kasing magpapalit ng pickup, so no idea.
Planning na split-coil ko kapag light OD o clean at full double rail (humbucker-ish tone) kapag overdriven na ung song like Planetshakers, for versatility.
Any pickup suggestions na babagay sa worship setting (Strat syle guitar) are welcome. Basta single-coil humbucker type pickup sana. God bless us all!
