lateralis and firemodel55: Quit your word war.
I don't see any "patama" here. Alex and Miks are only talking about facts, nothing more, nothing less. I actually agree that Jon is not quite there yet but he seems to be getting better at his craft.. and that's a good thing, right?
Obviously, we all wish for our local luthiers to be able to match up with the best of the best such as John Suhr, Tom Anderson, George Gorodnitski, John Cruz, Gene Baker, Johann Gustavsson, Terry C. McInturff, etc. but the reality is that Elegee, Mang Max and the others are still a couple of notches below these famous luthiers. I can vouch for that because all modesty aside, I've been blessed with a lot of opportunities to try out most of the most sought-after guitars in the world. I'd rank Elegee guitars as somewhere between Korean-made guitars and mass-produced American-made ones. Elegee is great when it comes to bang for the buck but on an absolute scale and assuming that price point takes a backseat to overall quality, Elegee has quite a bit to catch up on.
Some people should just accept that personal preference is different from absolute fact. In the case of lateralis vs. firemodel55, they were on different waevlengths that's why they can't agree at all. This pataasan ng ihi should stop.
