what kind of strings do you use and why?

Just want to share my Humble opinion
i like daddario 10s and ernie ball rps .10s they are both good with their own strengths and characteristics.

strung my tele with daddario for the first time after a decade of owning the guitar....
the daddario imho has a tight full and bright tone... i'm not so sure about this but i think the output is slightly hotter with these strings. (more sizzle on my tele)
they have a stiffer and hard feel. and my fingers hurt a bit when i play these for a long time. but i love the tone on my telecaster. maybe i should get .095

The eb rps .10s are easier to bend and have a soft feel on the hands compared to daddario. they sound slightly round and warmer than daddarios but not dark sounding. i've been bending these strings crazy for 5 months now and none of my strings have broken! my hats off to EB for creating RPS...

I prefer daddario strings for my telecaster because of the tone of the wound strings on the bridge pickup, even if I find it stiff for bending, The twang sound is so good with these strings
Tone vs comfort ...... tone wins

For my other guitar (prs se soapbar2) i choose EB Rps for a comfortable playing feel.
it helps tame the harshness and bright tone of the p90 pickups and aluminum tailpiece on my prs

For a guy who cant afford to swap out pickups on a regular basis. string experimentation is the best way to go

Been using it for a year now and I find them reliable in terms of durability and how long they maintain their tone.

I'm curious about this one. All I hear from these strings are good feedbacks. Di kaya sya madali kumupas at mawala sa intonation? And okay kaya sya pang floyd rose or floating trem setup? (^^,)

So far di sya madaling kumupas and mawala sa intonation idk if maganda sya sa floyd rose or floating trem, i dont own one eh.
Anyway, di naman sa inaadvertise ko to, gusto ko lang din matry sya ng mas marami para maapreciate siya. Mura siya compared to most good quality strings and mas reliable siya so far para sakin. I've been using the 2 leading string brands sa market before I heard about this one, and so far mas reliable siya sa experience ko.
Last last month, naubusan ako ng set nito sa Lazer so bumili ako ng ibang set (slinky), tapos kinabit ko na yung set. Then nagrecord kami, while recording, naputol yung high e-string ko, pinalit ko yung lumang e-string ng snarling dogs ko. Maganda pa rin tunog, bagay pa rin kasama ng bagong set at buhay pa rin siya kasama ng bagong set sa gitara ko ngayon.
Ayan, napakwento na ko ng mahaba. haha

hehe, yun lang, pero sulit din yung free string na kasama  pero so far, hindi na nanyayari sakin yung unfresh set of strings, kasi sa lazer cubao laging ubos yung 9s, marami ako kaagaw

This sounds like heaven sa acoustic Strings. mga 1-2 weeks old na acoustic strings, phosphor bronze ng D'Addario. <3

9s din ako sa standard at dropped D sa floating bridge, and yun din bnibili ko kung ano available, sang part ba madalas ka napuputulan ng string? yung higher gauge? and bandang fretboard, gitna or sa dulo ng bridge?

di pa ko nagpapalit ng gauge(.9 since birth).

wala pong mga sharp edges sa nut at bridge niliha ko na po ng pinong pino lagi gitna ang  putol  mga bandang 7 - 17 fret sir. sa tingin ko po na stress ko masyado ung string kaya madali mapigtas kaya nga po nag hahanap ako ng matibay tibay di kasi kaya ng bulsa bumili ng string every 2 weeks .

o baka naman normal lang maputulan every 2 weeks pag naka floating bridge especially pag lagi ka nag aala steve vai .

mga naka floating bridge dyan enlighten me.

ok ung elixirs panalo para sa mga toxic ang pawis tulad ko pero sa initial na kabit medyo metallic ang brightness nya na way over djenty in my opinion...i use them...pero kung mas maganda ang budget i might go with nickels or ung mga malambot para maalagaan ang frets gusto ko lang talaga ung fresh....

ernie ball > .10 -  msarap sa daliri ung strings

ghs boomers  > .10 & .11 - mas okay ito pero kpg matagal na prang numinipis ung strings ( ewan ko lng inde ako sure o feeling ko lng or tlagang numinipis?  d2 ko lng kz npansin.   hahaha )

dunlop > .12 - mdyo enjoy nman ako d2.

D'addario 10's for both my ibby rg and squier strat.. subok na subok na, daanin lang sa punas before and after use, then palit every 4-6 months..

it's cheap, it works and i'm too lazy too try other strings.
