I need your help guys, I'm having massive ES 335 GAS dilemma.

Which should I settle for:
-a cheap chinese Hamer Echotone (I won't have to sell a lot of my stuff for this)
-an Aria Pro Lawsuit (I will have to sell two guitars for this)
-the real deal, a gibby 335 (I will have to sell two guitars, a very nice tube half stack, and unload a lot of dough for this)

Thing is, it's ok for me to sell the two guitars (an Epi flying V and an Ibanez Artcore full hollow) just to get a 335. Also, I don't like having a lot of guitars not getting used and only acquiring dust at home.
Another thing is I really like my halfstack, and is having second thoughts selling it.

@fraud
Get an Epi Dot and slap on good pickups, bone nut, nickel hardware (drop fit lang ang metric sa stew mac), and an aluminum tailpiece/Bigsby, and youre all set. Good pots & electronics would be nice too. I highly recommend RS kits.

OR

Get either an Edwards or a Tokai.

some of the RJ ES copies are quite good than the hamer ES copy that i've tried. If you're willing to wait, get a good gibby.. i know it'll be worth it and i see it something that you won't sell that fast rather than the ones available here.

if you really like your amp more than having the hollowbody and V around, then settle for the aria pro, i think it's agood buy if you want something to tinker with

If resale value isnt a concern, magandang platform for customizations ang dot. Here's mine:

Gibson 57 Classics
Gotoh Tune-o-matic bridge
Gotoh aluminum tailpiece
Gotoh keystone tuners
Gibson tophat knobs w/ pointer washers
Gibson pickguard mounting bracket
335 5-ply pickguard
Gibson strap buttons
RS superpots & oil caps
Switchcraft jack & switch
Pearl block inlays
Cream binding on fretboard
Crown headstock inlay
60's slim taper neck

Music is perpetual, and only the hearing is intermittent.

@stompmoko
whoa, I never knew RJ had ES copies. :-o
is the RJ 335 good enough?compared to an Epi dot? How much are those RJ ES copies?

@boogsy
I'm a bit reluctant about Epiphones nowadays eh, feels like I might get a boob since I won't be able to test it before I buy it.

also, what do you guys think of filippo's Aria ES 335 lawsuit copy? I might try the hamer as well.

i think within the range of the hamer guitars, the RJ ES copies have two models though. i don't know how it stands up to a dot but i think a guitar with decent upgrades can do well, it's just that you have to weigh your costs :-D

try and compare the ones that you can source locally, maybe one can fit the bill before you shell out boatloads of cash

Hehe, I found a Gibson ES 333 that I might most likely acquire since it's half the price of a brand new 335. :-D

Yup, satin finish, may cavity and cover sa likod for easier access sa electronics. silk screen yung logo tsaka di siya naka 57 Classic pickups.

although, the fender itch bit me again, sir chad's showmaster looks nice as well...hay haha. :lol:
