Sino sa inyo ang kumakain sa mga "Aristocart" dati? Suki ako ni Aling Lina circa early 90's, yung pumepwesto sa tapat ng Narra/ gilid ng Educ. Bibigyan ka ng plastic na pangbalot ng kamay tapos babalutan din ng plastic ang platong lalagyan ng ulam at kanin. Four pesos lang may kanin at ginisang upo ka na! Kung medyo galante, 12 pesos ang inihaw na liempo w/ rice.  :-D

@haydn Yield Avenue yung name ng band namen! di kami nakasali nung febfair, may trip kasi kami nun sa subic! sayang!! pero nung nanood ako grabe ang sama ng sound system, kalat magmix yung tech! yung Front Act yung nanalo di ba?  :-D ano ba tinugtog nyo nun!?
baka pala may gig kami sa square sa 28, sponsor ng Gamma Sigma

teka eto ang mga palatandaan kung taga UPLB ka:
-nagtanong ang driver ng "may animal ba?" at may sumagot ng "meron"pero di ka natawa
- kilala mo si Saniano boy at girl
-uniform mo ang orgshirt
-budget mo ang tuna at panict canton
-ayos lang magdala ng malaking payong
-mahilig kang gumamit ng "na" ex. nakain, napunta,naulan, etc.

tanong lang kung sino yung naabutan pa si Mang Boying sa bluberi(I think naging bombtrack pa siya noon)?Sobrang bait niya dati minsan kapag nagja-jam kami dun pinapahiram niya yung Blues Deluxe niya tsaka 5150 and we would jam Juan delacruz songs na siya papalo o kaya guitar tapos papakain pa ng spaghetti hehe. It was really sad when he passed away kasi most of us UPD based bands circa 2003-present dun madalas...pero shout out to duane for continuing the bluberi experience hehe, astig ka tsong! :lol:

sa mga active UPD based bands diyan sa bluberi na rin kayo mag jam hehe.

UPLB ako, pero post-grad sa CEAT,under grad ko sa ibang school. Diploma in Electrical Engineering major in Power Electronics! two years lang yung diploma course and graduate ako nung 99.  :-D

o, let's have more kwento about your guitar/gigging days sa UP.

dun sa UP Manila, istambay ako sa pillars at sa corridors with my Lumanog acoustic gtr, tuned to open-G, figuring out Robert Johnson, Skip James, songs etc.  you could say i was also busking, not for money, but to get attention from d chicks. ;-)

ang lunch ko nuon, monggo or togue + rice.  extra rice pag napasarap.

sa Public Ad dun ako kumakain sa abandoned old bldg.  rice + fresh cooked sardinas and noodles!  sarap!

da best ang tapa sa may water district, unlimited rice tapos pagmadami kayo may libre isang plate ng tapa! pwede pa mag beer...

guitar and gig: ang vacant ko nun 10:30am to 2:30pm, tapos p.e. na (football), 10:30 palang nasa oval na ako, quick lunch tapos guitara na hanggang 2:30, wrote lots of songs there, yung gitara ko (lokal na strat) may secret compartment lalagyan ng  8-), gitara lang at smokeout for 4 hours...one time bigla nalng may helicopter :-o si ramos yata, ka-praning ampucha...

ah does were the daze... :cry:

Just in case you don't know, WALA NA SI MOMMY THAI SA UP!  She built her new eatery in the Changi Airport in Singapore.  My wife and I were her last customers, LITERALLY.  Sa sobrang sama ng loob namin, nahingi namin ang recipe ng tomyam and mixed rice toppings sa kanya.  As in KUHANG-KUHA NAMIN ANG LUTO!  Tomyam ala Mommy ang ulam namin kagabi.  You need to find those import Knorr tomyam cubes though.
