there are numerous versions of the psp, try to get the console with the custom firmware such as 1.5, 3.03oe-c and 3.40oe-a. i wont recommend a psp version 3.10, 3.11, 3.30 and 3.40 because the downgrader is not yet available for these versions.

regarding your question about flashing in greenhills, yes, they do that, i think it costs around 500 to 1000. if they brick your psp, they should have it replaced. you can also flash your own psp, at your own risk. =)

i recommend buying at tipidpc. they usually sell psps with custom firmware and free games installed.

@hunk0429

ok na yun bro, kasi yung mga games mo nakasave naman sa memstick, the UMD would just be the gameloader kaya kahit sampler ok lang.

@panterica & okives

nagupgrade na kayo to 3.40oea? diko pa din ginagalaw sa kin eh, hehe. pero balak ko din magupgrade, kabado kasi ko na baka mabrick psp ko.

hmm latest games are playable in that latest version, konti lang difference nila, yung sa screen brightness may super bright na kahit di nakasaksak yung charger, may sound setting na nadagdag, kung sa 12.5k, mura na yan sir. iso is a type of file na kinokopya sa memory stick, it contains a ripped version of the game, a cso file is a compressed version of the iso file. games are downloadable through pinoypsp.com.

hindi daw mahirap iupgrade basta galing sa Open Edition na FW... meron kasi recovery mode ang OE kaya, if ma semi brick mo, pwede mo pa marecover.. . CMIIW, FW 3.03 has a recovery mode na rin...

i had a chance to trade another psp for some of my guitar gadgets... black 2.71 FW...
na run ko na HEND, gusto ko document pagdowngrade ko to 1.5, sana okay lang after...
thank you GOD for LIFE, LOVE and MUSIC!

hehehe, yes, it doesnt include the cable, if you have a sony cybershot, you can use that cable to connect it to your pc, a psp uses mini usb cable, universal connector sya so i guess you wont have any problems purchasing that cable.
