Joey Puyat and Kedy Sanchez on same stage playing jazz fusion this time

The Blue Rats have asked Kedy Sanchez to jam with them on several occasions. Now, Kedy Sanchez and Working Stiff returns the favor by inviting Joey Puyat to jam with them. You've heard Joey and Kedy play the blues together; now hear them play jazz fusion together. Besides doing some Carlton and Golub songs with Kedy, Joey does some Benson, Ford, and Ritenour songs on his own.

WORKING STIFF gigs with guest Joey Puyat:

April 23 Monday Mag:net (Katipunan)
April 30 Monday Strumm's (Makati)
May 3 Thursday Mag:net (Bonifacio High Street)

Would love to see this kung pwede lang.  Last time I saw JP play was in the 80s (first time in the 70s); Kedy I've seen through many iterations so I know what tricks the dude can pull.  Seeing those two playing fusion together, priceless.

THIS MONDAY APRIL 30 AT STRUMM'S MAKATI. With guest Joey Puyat.

Maybe the last chance to see WORKING STIFF before classes begin in June. Sad news is that the May 3 Thursday gig at Mag:net (Bonifacio High Street) is not pushing through because that Mag:net branch might open only on May 7 earliest. And the band won't be complete for the rest of May. Hope to see you on Monday!

Saw the youtube clip ..

The band was smokin' as usual, and Joey was definitely in top form. Too bad the clips didn't capture much of his solo on that song (or was that it already? It seemed short)

One thing I can say, the sound system at Strumm's is much, much, much better than what they have at Mag:Net

I hope this is NOT the last time that Joey is playing with the band, eh John?  :-)

Definitely, it won't be Joey's last time with the band. Nor the last time we'll be having guest jammers. Let's see, we've jammed with a guitarist and female vocalists on various occasions. Maybe we can jam with other male vocalists, keyboards players, bassists, drummers, percussionists, horn players, etc. Any takers of the invite?

You guys were awesome on the clip tho -- tight and smooth... pros talaga.  As usual, si Kuya Joey -- taking risks but always tasteful and swak!    Ganda ng sagutan ni Kedy and Kuya Joey!

Next time nyo sa QC sana makadaan na ko.  Sana jam uli si Joey
