eto lang ginagwa ako.. yun sa cymbals, panatay lang yun dami ng cymbals sa left at right.. di ba halos lhat ng drummers mas madalas yun mga cymbals nila ay nasa right pra madaling i hit.. dapat i pantay niyo lang para masanay din yun left hand niyo sa pag hit ng mga cymbals or toms..

Probably the best way of developing ambidextrosity is doing your everyday chores with your left, instead of your right. I think it was Neil Peart who said that in one of his videos. Tulad ng pagtoothbrush, pagsuklay, pagwalis ng bahay, pag-mop. Everything, even that private thing we do when we're alone with a reading material  :-D. Everything left. You need to warm up the oven before you stick in the turkey right?

well during my woodshedding days (early 90's) ala pa ako alam sa internet or fast pc's so baka imbes na magensayo at ayusin maigi si left hand para almost pantay sya sa kanan eh baka nasa internet or naglalaro ako ng pc games LOL!

ala namang sikret dyan as posted already....practice practice practice.

sa sufa or unan para ala tlga bounce really good for the wrist as well developing the finger control. after a month laki ng improvement at di na halos mawawala yung speed or muscle memory na yun dahil
parang built for speed tlga mga kamay di kamukha sa paa hi-maintenance tlga
well atleast as far as my experience and drum skill goes.
i practice hard and loud and soft, fast and slow and  wwaahhh basta lahat na.....adik tlga nuon LOL! adik sa tambol hehe.

i didn't had the luxury the internet gives nowadays to younger drummers
but tnk god i was blessed with good drummers and musicians who we're kind enough
to share their stuff during my early drumming days...hehe...sensya na po sa kwento.

But anyway, sa akin, dobleng effort sa pagppractice with my weaker limb ang effective. My personal approach to this is to use 60% of my practice time on my weaker limb; 30% sa simula ng practice; at 30% ulit bago ako huminto para magpahinga.

2) Developing ambidextrous playing by leading with my weaker limb/s without altering the positions of the drumset.

So Be It.

to have a muscle memory... you need to repeat all things atleast 3000 times... sabe sa discovery...
so... practice talaga with proper technique.. don't hasten things..
time will come for that weaker limb.. ung sign ng isang guy dito ung.. slow prcatice= fast progress.. parang ganun.. pag nagmadale ka.. chances na hindi mo maexecute ung technique ng maayos... dati in my early drumming years na tinuturo sakin.. french grip ang hawak ko para sa double strokes... tapos nung college nako.. my prof introduced me to palm down.. or german grip.. hay..
ayun.. back to zero... ayun months na naman.. take time to develop ur technique...

yep, nagsign nako.. :-D

Hala, pano yun??
