the crunchbox IMO, is definitely NOT versatile. it's pretty much a one trick pony. but it's a good trick though.

Clarify ko lang sana syo ang difference. Na-A/B compare ko na rin kasi ang original keeley sa brit mod ko.

Here's the difference:
Keeley DS-1 --> sounds like a modded ehx bigmuff
BritMod DS-1 --> sounds like a marshall amp distortion.

Nagamit ko kasi noon Original Keeley DS-1 ni forumite mikeow nung nagpamod sya sa akin ng brand new ds-1 nya. (2 ang ds-1 nya hehe)

i just found out last Sunday that the DS2 is pretty good!  I would nominate that.

But of course, if you can score the almight Vintage Rat...that's really cool.  I'd envy you.

But for a quick, easy to find all around distortion pedal..I'd go for the DS2.

get your hands on an Ibanez SD9. Discontinued, but quite amazing. responsive sa volume knob so kahit light blues od hangang bastos na metal, kakayanin  :-D
