I will go with the BOSS SD-1, DIGITECH BAD MONKEY is a clone of IBANEZ TUBE SCREAMER. IMO

comparison between BOSS SD-1 and IBANEZ TUBE SCREAMER TS-808.
This time TS-808 is much better and can stand alone overdrive or boost.

If you can find a BOSS SD-1 (MONTE ALLUMS SD-808 MOD PLUS) you can choose between SD-1 or TS-808 by a switch.

i want to ask few questions...

may health problem ako and i cannot carry guitar for too long.. 1 set sa gig ay pahirap na sa akin. i am using parker guitar which i believe weighs about 6lbs, magaan na siya compared sa ibang electric gitara... yet, mabigat pa rin para sa akin.. may alam pa ba kayong mas magaan pero quality guitar? i am aiming for yamaha rgx-a2, 5.5lbs daw, but i havent tested it yet, at face out na rin ata.. any suggestions? thnks..

also, is anyone here using/used ibanez tube king distortion pedal? how it is? i am planning to buy...

maybe you could try to change straps para hindi ka na bumili ng bagong gitara... they say that using a wider strap helps to compensate or ease out the pain brought by heavy guitars... i suggest mono straps.. looks good and feels solid.

mga chif malapit na kasi dumating yung addario 10-46's ko, mejo kabado pa ako magpalit ng gitara sa electric, at the same time parang nataasan akong pindutin sya(action) tas parang may sabit yung 3rd string(mejo malayo tunog nya, kahit tama sa tuner)

ok lang ba dalahin ko sa guitar saloon ? ano sasabihin kong ipapagawa ko? mga magkano magagastos with the problems above?

Kung 4 ohms lang ang meron ang tube amp, yes pwede mo gamitan ng 8-ohm speaker. Wag mo lang masyado ipush yung amp.

Pero hindi siya magiging ganun ka efficient. If I'm not mistaken, mababa lang ang magiging power rating ng amp and speaker mo. Lesser compared kung 4 ohms talaga ang gagamitin.

Yung speaker na gamit is yung Jensen MOD na nabili ko sayo from few years back hehe natapos ko na din yung DIY Cab ko

bought it really cheap 

Will take pictures of the amp and cab together tomorrow 

For the mean time eto yung cab hehe


Yung lacquer finish is team work namin ng lolo ko at yung speaker cloth ay used flour sack hehe

Hey guys, need help. Sold my amp a week ago, now the guy who bought my amp just called me. He told me that the amp loses its volume when he pushes the gain and volume knob. Not sure if it completely shuts off or what. He gave me very vague answers. What could be the possible culprits for this? Blown fuse, tubes, speakers? Is it possible for a tube amp to work at low volume but won't when you crank it? The amp has been with him for more than a week now so a lot could've happened already. TIA

Back then when I had my Peavey Classic 30, everything was working fine... then I sold it, then the buyer said that there were volume drops too, if I'm not mistaken... Particularly when running on the drive channel... We ended up replacing two preamp tubes with Tungsol and Mullard 12AX7... stock tubes were JJ..

It seems that tube amps are sometimes weak against voltage changes.. They might have a slightly different voltage running in their home as compared to ours, such difference might have done something to the tubes, but I don't know for sure.. That was the most logical reason we could think of back then since I'm 100% sure that the amp was running well when I sold it..

Issues were solved after replacing the preamp tubes.

Goldea AT30. All stock. Buyer told me he had significant volume drops when he cranked the amps volume to around 6. I did crank the amp from time to time back then, but was working fine until now. Hopefully its a tube problem, nothing too serious. Could it also possible that the volume pot gave up?
