Anyone here using an EM-DRIVE?? How was it? and how do you use it? I just ordered one from Rockstore, I want a transparent drive, and will be using it just for a booster. :) I don't really need an EQ so EM drive might be good. I also do have a Timmy as always-on pedal. May 808 ako as my midboost/gain booster for solos. Pero naco-color nya kasi talaga yung tone, so i need another booster na transparent. hehe.

Is it good?

What is a good power supply for my pedals?
« Reply #6484 on: May 29, 2014, 12:52:18 AM »
Kaya im asking for suggestions. Salamat :)

Sir, you can also opt to have custom one made if you really have some specialized needs. PedalMax / emil murillo is a good person to reach. so far sa aking experience, maganda naman ang performance. zero problems. ilang years na.  you'd just have to work with him re: what you want.

If that's all you'll be powering, then most off-the-shelf regulated power supplies will do (1Spot, Godlyke, etc...). All the pedals you mentioned don't consume that much power. But you might also want to be prepared for things like digital delays and reverbs. You never really know when that time comes when you realize you want them. Those can change your requirements dramatically.

since balak mo magkabit ng mods, be prepared sa ticking. might as well use a separate psu (wall wart type) para sa chorus and phaser. as for your current setup, a 1spot with daisy will do.

da best ang may TRUE isolated outputs in the future kung magdadagdag ka pa, lalo na ng mga delays/reverbs/digital stuff. yung mga psu na maraming outputs kuno is no different sa daisy chain, kaya careful lang din. you would want to have the least amount of noise, that's why invest on a good PSU.

PSU-related question din po mga sir.
Sana matulungan nyo ako.

Bale eto yun current board setup ko:

Polytune >
Boss NS-2
    >  MXR Custom Modified OD (In NS-2 Loop)
    >  MXR Super Badass Distortion (In NS-2 Loop)
MXR Analog Chorus >
MXR Phase 90 >
TC Electronic Flashback Delay X4

Balak ko pa dagdagan ng isa pang drive pedal (Megalith Delta or Triple Wreck), at isa pang pedal for reverb (TCE HoF sana)

Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 4 x 4
or okay nadin yun Godlyke Power-All na one-spot?

Thanks in advance!!

Something to tide me over hanggang magkaroon po ako ng Pedal Power PSU?

Well, i've been reading stuff about non isolated PSUs and the responses vary per user. some say that there is no noice, some say there's a lot of noise, particularly with modulation pedals. so YMMV. but, all in all, if you have the bucks for it, i think it's best to invest in a great power supply para one time buy nalang.

using compressors on HB vs SC? malaki ba talaga difference? meron akong epi LP and SP compressor. mga nababasa ko kasi always mas pang single coil mga compressor. okay naman sakin ung tunog pero baka mas OK kasi sa single coil. hehe

IMO, the difference lies on what effect you are going for when using a compressor such as increasing sustain, taming level spikes, volume equalization.
I use comps on single coils to squash out the volume spikes just to avoid the nasty feedback.
I don't use comps on humbuckers though,a matter of personal taste.  :-D
