Sorry i could not help not reply to the above comment, so please bear with me (once in a blue moon lang naman ito).

I dont know the guy and i dont have the habit of defending strangers pero as a drummer and a member of this forum, i try to promote cammaraderie amongst us in my own simple way. In this regard, kawawa naman yung spongecola drummer, wala naman siguro nagawang masama yun ah. he could be a forumer or lurker and if i would put myself in his position i would probably find such a comment a bit antagonising, insulting, and would probably have a negative impression of the 'culture' in this forum. imbis na dumami ang mga drummers to share knowledge and experiences with, ma-tu-turn off lang.

this is just my piece of mind.

tulungan, samahan and supportahan lang tayo dito to one another.

anyway, back to topic: I prefer no gloves pero minsan i resort to em when I have lots of blisters from driving, weighlifting and rockclimbing. no choice eh, i cant resist the urge to play drums despite blisters.

I agree with brother Bang..

i don't use gloves because i think it's kinda useless. though it provides a good grip when playing. siguro di ko pa siya natry kaya hindi ko siya gusto.

Bryan Hitt- drummer of Reo Speedwagon in their live performance at riverport used gloves, his ride are set to low almost touch the bdrum but his hi-hat, crash and china trash are set too high, but when they played "Keep On Loving You".... wow superb performance.

i agree. simulan ko.

nag g-gloves ba kayo pag nag ddrums? dati kasi nung starter pa lang ako, gusto ko nito. astig tignan eh. kaso nung pag tagal, naisip ko, parang baduy na. (kasi napanuod ko yung vid ng isang local "rock" band) ayun. nabaduyan na ko. hindi sa ayoko sa style niya, but ayoko masabi ng mga tao na idol ko sya. haha. kasi that time, siya na lang nakagloves na drummer. hehe.

Same! Never tried, pero na-curious ako. But when I saw.. what he saw. Hindi na lang. Zog's Sex Wax na lang lalagay ko sa kamay ko.

hehe. ako naman sir vinci yung workout gloves. never tried a real drumming gloves before. kalyo, makapal na kasi eh. haha. ayoko na madgdagan. tsaka madali mag paltos yung ring at middle finger ko. pag may paltos, di ko maipasok ng maigi

yung fills na gusto ko. kaya nagtry ako. hahahaha.

sinubukan ko lately mggloves. ok nman ang pakiramdam, mas gumaan yung stick at masarap hawakan.

yung sa jb nagsale sila doon dati, zildjian brand..

sarap din, pero hindi nagtatagal sa akin, napupunit agad dahil sa "init"...but since then, wala na akong hard hitting gigs, am back to using my bare hands.

hirap din pala nasanay pumalo ng malakas, parang tumitigas yung muscles..bigla na lang marami ka ng hindi kaya gawin..dapat din pala you break away from the regular music you play.
