Wow, this thread sure took off!

Although I did post some stompboxes earlier, I would rather plug straight into a good amp. Maybe I would still use a wah pedal before the amp.

If the amp has an effects loop, that's where I would stick in some kind of delay/reverb unit.

By the way, check out the Marshall homepage for some of the new amps they are offering. It used to be that you could just pick something out of the JCM line (usually the highest number). Like the 2100 dual channel super high gain amp was the choice for the 90s. Now they have so many amps I can't figure out what's their best. The nice thing about the site, however, is that you can listen to many of these amps online.
