Bernard Purdie: Check out Steely Dan's "Home At Last" and "Babylon Sisters" in the pocket, laid back shuffle grooves! Porcarro's "Rosanna" was a marriage of "Fool In The Rain" and the popular Purdie Shuffle

Steve Gadd: IMHO Gadd kicked both Vinnie's and Dave's asses during the Buddy Rich Memorial Concert when he kicked into his Angry March thing it was all over

Omar Hakim: Check out "Shinjuku Strut" the groove on the song just kills me everytime I hear it and he lets the song breathe with well placed spaces

For me, the greatest drummer ever --- the incomparable Buddy Rich.

But my personal number one favorite drummer of all time is Neil Peart.

The best drummer living right now? It must be Vinnie Colaiuta, in my humble opinion.

idol ito ng lahat ng idol nating lahat.

idol ko si virgil donati, mike portnoy etc... pero kahit sila aminado na idol nila si buddy rich.

siguro kung wala itong taong to hindi ganito kagagaling ang mga drummer ngayon..

I dig Danny Carey too! Inaaral at ina-analyze ko ang music ng Tool nowadays. My favorite Carey drum performances are from the Lateralus album, though impressive din ang mga ibang albums nila. Malalim ang concept nila. Mahilig din sila sa 5,6 & 11 na time signatures.
