+100 sa natural finish, saw it too nung natural pa sya, pero the burst is lovely man!!!

I talked to mang Max a couple of days ago, he said he replaced the body w/ a new one. He didn't like the former cuz he's not content w/ the result & he knew you might not like it as well. Konti na lang bro.

btw, sir gano katagal yung construction niyan? 

niyek, hindi ko na maalala kung gano katagal. i think april pa ata nasimulan ni mang max to. a few weeks after lumabas yung V ko, nag-down na ako agad for the iceplorer. na-delay ng 3 weeks dahil sa bwisit na pagulan ulan na yan at di mapinturahan yung guitar.

Aabangan ko na ito sa gigs ng BANE! Ayus pare!

oist sir, ganda ng eclipse mo ah, lapit na mtapos!!!! this week ba? i sold my prs se custom already w/0 the case hehe, i have an epi sg sa softcase and the hardcase is for the orville by gibson lp custom na nakadisplay sa shop ni mang max hehe!!!!

honga, we could have talked a bit if only maluwag un receving area hehe, been asking mang max if expand nya ung harap mejo marami na kasing tanggap na work kaya dapat iayos konti! busy nga lang sya as of the moment daw! if ngdasaan ang client, parang pila ng NFA rice tayo nyan sa labas hehe!!!!

Looks real organic pag natural pero I also like its current finish. Very inviting.

this is my vintage greco jazz bass restored by mang max to its former glory.  he did some fretboard conditioning and fret levelling to reveal the block MOP inlays' vintage vibe.  the hardwares are stock except the bridge and control plate.  the black pickguard looks really good on the naturally relic'd sunburst body.







what's interesting about this bass is that it has a push-pull pot at the neck pickup volume knob very much similar to fender's S1 switch.  basically it changes the pickup configuration from parallel to series, and with just a pull of the switch, this bass transforms into a vintage monster with a modern sound.



although it took so long to finish this restoration project, this is definitely worth the wait...

finally!!! after several weeks of delay, natapos din ang aking 2nd guitar. matagal na naming project ito ni Mang Max, hybrid body na sarili kong design. presenting the Iceplorer. 

here are the specs:

- James Hetfield's Ken Lawrence explorer headstock
- Phil. mahogany body
- 3/4 inch carved maple top
- set neck construction
- natural maple body edge binding
- MOP inlays
- macassar ebony (kamagong) neck and fingerboard
- 24 3/4 inch scale
- Burny VH-1 neck pickup / Seymour Duncan JB bridge pickup

first time ni Mang Max gumamit ng maple sa guitar. pinagaya ko yung PRS style na natural maple lang yung binding. carved yung maple top niya, 3/4 inch sa thickest portion tapos may radius na pa-carve papuntang dulo. the guitar looks like a neck-thru, but NO!!! set neck long tenon lang yan. pinagawaan ko lang ng patong na kamagong sa likod para mag-mukhang ganun.

i can honestly say na malaki ang improvement ni Mang Max. comparing the Iceplorer with my V, noticeable yung mas ginanda nung pagka-pulido ng gawa.

yung sa'kin kaya? hehehe....body pa lang alam kong gagawin ni mang max wala pa kasi yung piyesa ko na 7 string floyd rose type bridge eh kaya di pa magagawa neck nung sa'kin hanap pa ako ng mga piyesa

i feel u man, i know how much u've been waiting for ur gtr and it's really way too long for the wait. but don't worry ul gonna have it in no time..time flies swiftly. it's gonna be one helluva delayed gratification like when ...u know what i mean hehe
