when i was writing game reviews, i made it a point to finish the game fair and square first. after that first pass, i usually go through the game again and use cheats if necessary, so i can see everything i missed before.

pero yung Final Fantasy VII at VIII, i had to extensively read the walkthroughs, kasi napansin ko, kahit na sabihing the monsters scale in proportion to your character levels, bugbog pa rin sa encounters without certain items and stuff to buff your party.

oki lang yung walkthrough, lalo na pag di ko na malampasan yung stage. hehe pero minsan kahit na may walkthrough, mahirap padin.

nag walk through ako para sa god of war dahil hassle naman yung mga puzzle dun. ampanget naman kung d mo makukuha yung ibang kelangan na item. tapos nag game shark ako sa mortal kombat para lumabas lahat ng characters.

yung ffx2 nag gameshark din ako para 100% items dahil gusto ko lang tapusin kaso napanood ko na yung ending sa youtube kaya d ko na lang tinuloy.

nakaka insulto din kasi pag nag cheat ka.. because of cheating...

pero depende parin sa game, kasi may mga games talaga na officially "bad gameplay"

depende sa laro,at sa cheat... sa sports games, yung Big Head mode, etc etc maganda

he he. oks lang siguro kung pirated yung game, i don't mind using cheat codes. pero kung gagastos ka ng $50 - $100 for a game tapos gagamitan kang ng cheats IMO para kang nagtapon ng pera.

may subscription ako sa gamepro at egm nung bata ako sa tita ko sa states, pinapadala lang sakin.. hehehe..

I don't think walkthroughs are considered cheats. Its moreof resource for for gamers in need of information. And there are always game-wikis that give you various walkthroughs and whatnots.

3rd party programs that enable you to do more things any normal player can is definitely a cheat. To you it might be an advantage but to the authorities in those games, its a clear definition of violating the publisher/developer's EULA. Hence, its a cheat.

Although there are 3rd party programs that only enable you to customize the appearance of the game in your own unit such as UI mods, sprite modifiers and such. They only change graphics and no more than that.

In a nutshell, it would narrow down to gamers who are born purists and those who just want to enjoy the game. It has its pros and cons.

Just my two cents. =]

depende sa game e... usually mas gusto ko tapusin ang isang game ng walang cheat or walkthrough, kung may mamiss na item, ok lang... tas lalaruin ko ulit ng may cheat at walkthrough, just to explore the game more, para makita yung alternate endings, etc...

sa NFS corny pag nagcheat... although nagcheat ako sa most wanted, to unlock yung isang extra event sa challenge series... and that's even after i finished the game

di ko malilimutan yung nilaro ko yung red alert 2 na allied missions, walang cheat... di ko maexplain yung saya ko nung nasira ko yung nuke silo nila dahil sa pagbagsak ng isang sumabog na eroplano ko (ang hirap kasi nung last stage na yun, magdedepensa ka tas may nuke pa yung kalaban)... nakailang retry ako dun sa mission na yun... pero it's all worth it nung nasira ko yung silo nila... hehe

depende, kung gano kahirap ung game, and sa laro..
pag RPG's hanggat kaya ko n walang tulong ng cheat and walkthrough ge laro lang..
pero pag meron ako di masolve na puzzel or di ko na alam gagawin, tingin ako sa walkthrough, and minsan pag boss fights, di ko kaya kahit sundin ko ung walktrough la pa din, dun na ako cheat, pero ung pinipili ko ung pang support lang like have all items, all items in storage 99 and quick level-up lang mga ganun lang..
pero godmode no thanks..

Ang mahihirap na puzzle yung dun sa Dino Crisis.

depende.., pag rpg kc madalas merung point dun na kailangan mo humabol ng level, so i use cheats lke quick level gain..pero kung nkakasabay ako sa level, kht wala na cheats ok na..
