hey im down!! maybe we can get sponsors, and help from companies like zildjian, pearl, remo etc...I think they will be willing to help us out if we plan it out right. A good indoor place would be great!!! maybe like a school gym would do!

Just a thought...maybe our seniors who are sponsored by Zildjian, Mapex, Fernando, Gretsch can ask their companies to help out and sponsor the drum show? i think as long as they get exposure, and the proposal is good they might be willing to help. Also our music stores like JB, Audiophile, Lyric and Yupangco can help us out with this kind of event thru their connection with other brands like DW, Sabian, Pearl, Remo, Pro-Mark etc. the more sponsors the less you have to bring out cash. yung proposal nalang siguro dapat maganda. Basta both sponsors and organizers share the same goal for the project I think it will be a success. Maybe we can invite someone for a masterclass like Bill Bruford, Dave Weckl, Horacio "el negro", or any great drummer as a guest....

UPDATE: Naunahan na tayo ng mga gitarista... They're having a guitar fest sa Tiendesitas. May album pa! hehehe

Hindi naman sa matagal... It's just that these kinds of events are no joke to organize. In this case, the proposed Drum Show is envisioned to be a huge event. So we need to deal with sponsorships, logistics, finance, manpower, and all those important details. And we also need to have certain individuals out there who are willing to dedicate themselves in making this vision into reality.

In my case, I can't devote myself right now into organizing, because I need to prioritize my own band and career. Same goes to many more out there who have their own priorities.

It's not that we don't want this to happen... But if some of you guys do want it to really happen, I challenge you to make it happen. Take actions. Don't just wait or whine.

Again, I'm playing the devil's advocate... Peace.

ey folks remember that supposed drum festival we were supposed to kick off 3 years ago? (sorry, i cant find the old thread) well, lez do it! were gonna start small first of course.

its a night for drummers by drummers, lets just get together and hang, we can do the drum swap meet there, and the drumshop will be bringing goodies as well. it will be the first of a series, lets support and wake up the neighbors!
